Salvius replied, “There’s a secret hidden within this realm. If you can find it, I’ll agree to your request. Otherwise, we’ll stick with the original reward.”

Surprised, James thought to himself, ‘A secret? Is there truly one in this realm? I’ve carefully scanned the realm, but didn’t find anything out of the ordinary.’

“Could you give me a hint?” asked James.

“No.” Savlius refused. He turned to the other participants and said, “Everyone else can also try to find it. Whoever finds the secret will be given the resources from an eighthlevel plane.”

Savlius’ words caused a massive commotion amongst the participants. Meanwhile, James returned to his comrades.

Zavis gave him a thumbs up and praised, ‘You’ve got some guts, Forty-nine.”

James chuckled and said, “I was just trying out my luck. If the Dieux Academy turned me down, there’d be nothing I could do either. I wasn’t really expecting anything.”

Taran asked curiously, “What could the realm’s secret be?”

James shrugged and answered, “How would I know?”

Suddenly, Salvius’ voice resounded again.

“Attention, please. I’d like to congratulate everyone on passing the trials and becoming disciples of the Dieux Academy. However, the real assessment has only just begun. We’ll proceed with the Zeilor Battle, which will be in the form of team battles. Those without companions are allowed to fight alone.”
