Glancing at the table, James grabbed a handful of silver needles and scrutinized them. He then removed two of them.

“Spread out a bit.” The doctors took a few steps back. Jonathan approached them through the gap in the crowd. He could not create an antidote for the poison in Lucas’ body, nor could he release the toxins.Since it had come to this, he was curious to see what James was going to do.

The crowd made space for James.

“Thea, you too.”
