The Almighty Lord Caspian novel Chapter 491

"Amazing! How imposing. I'm sure Lord Caspian can defeat the two of them!" Benjamin exclaimed.

Caspian's strength had already reached the ultimate supreme grandmaster a few years ago. He must have reached greater heights by now.

"Don't be careless. Our missiles have destroyed the enemy's front lines. They might choose to retaliate next," Caspian warned.

"What measures should we take now?" Benjamin asked.

"They won't give up just like that. If naval warfare doesn't work, they'll implement land warfare.

"They might even attack the war zone in South Aridlands. Sound the red alert immediately!" Caspian ordered.

"Yes, sir!" Nodding, Benjamin began to issue the commands.

Just then, an intelligence officer rushed in. "Report, there's an encrypted call from His Majesty!"

Due to the current circumstances, Balthazar was also using a satellite-encrypted phone to prevent the enemies from eavesdropping.

"What are your orders, Your Majesty?" Caspian asked.

"Lord Caspian, Astronia and Vadesia have officially declared war on us. They've sent out their Gods of War, Robert Valez and Viktor Obrien.

"Soon after, millions of soldiers will be pressing onto our borders. Are you sure you can handle it?" Balthazar asked.

"Your Majesty, our military force in the war zone of South Aridlands is limited. It'll be difficult for us to hold the lines against the two countries.

"However, they'll need to cross other countries to reach Diatoran. This could be an opportunity for us," Caspian stated honestly.

"At the west, Filren has already engaged in battle with our forces at the borders. We need to be on our guard against Estrya in the east."

"As of now, I can only order Joseph Welch to redeploy his military troops from the Central Plains to back you up. Is this plan feasible for you?" Balthazar asked.

He respected Caspian's opinion greatly.

"It's doable! As long as the troops from the war zone in Central Plains can reinforce me in time, I have the utmost confidence to defeat the enemies' troops!" Caspian answered firmly.

"Good! I hope you can complete the mission. Astronia and Vadesia will need to pass through Necros to reach Diatoran.

"We can contact Necros to stop them from passing through. We'll send out additional troops as well," Balthazar spoke out.

"I understand, Your Majesty. I'll find a way so that I won't fail your expectations," Caspian declared resolutely.

He thought that was the end of the conversation. However, he didn't expect Balthazar to voice out his concerns.

"I'm not worried since you'll be there. However, the situation at West Aridlands is not optimistic. It's a confrontation, and the soldiers at West Aridlands seem to be in a precarious situation," Balthazar said worriedly.

"What? What's Dax Santos doing there? There's no reason for him to be the Champion of West Aridlands if he can't defend it!" Caspian exclaimed urgently.

Right after that, Balthazar announced a shocking decision. He planned to oversee the army in West Aridlands to boost the soldiers' morale.

Caspian was stunned when he heard his decision. It was simply too risky.

After all, Balthazar had an esteemed status. What would happen if an accident occurred?

"Your Majesty—" Caspian wanted to persuade Balthazar only to be interrupted by him, "There's no need to say more, Lord Caspian. I've made up my mind. I would've been able to rest easy if Diatoran had more people like you.

"You'll be my successor if I encounter any danger. I want you to oversee Diatoran," Balthazar commanded.

Caspian was shocked. He never thought Balthazar would make such a decision.

However, he wasn't the least bit interested in the King's position. Becoming the successor would only mean losing his freedom.

"I know you're surprised. But Lord Caspian, you're Diatoran's only God of War. Only you have the right to the throne. I believe in your capabilities!" Balthazar stated.

"We can discuss this later, Your Majesty. The good always prevails. No danger will befall you," Caspian said.

"Alright. Prepare for battle. I'll inform Joseph to send reinforcements to you." Balthazar hung up when he finished speaking.
