"Honey," Caspian called out as he approached Willow.
Willow could barely contain her emotions. The one and only Diatoranian God of War was standing in front of her right now!
Still, she forced herself to stay calm as she asked, "The war's about to start, so why did you come back? Don't you need to supervise the battle?"
"I wanted to see you," Caspian said softly.
"Why didn't you tell me you're Lord Caspian, the Diatoranian God of War? How much longer were you going to keep it from me?" Willow questioned.
"I told you about it many times, but you never believed me. I couldn't do anything about it," Caspian said with a shrug.
Willow had no response to that. It was true, after all. Caspian had indeed informed her of his identity in the past, but she assumed he was just trying to brag and even mocked him for it.
Well, it turned out that she was the fool. Caspian had been telling her the truth all along.
"How was I supposed to believe that my husband's the Diatoranian God of War? You should've tried harder to convince me. Maybe I would've believed you if you repeated it enough times," Willow retorted.
"You know me. I've always kept a low profile, so why would I keep saying that I'm the Diatoranian God of War?" Caspian said.
"Why did you expose your identity today, then? Everyone knows who you are now," Willow said worriedly.
Truth be told, she was quite concerned. Now that Caspian's identity was open knowledge, many people in Southlake City would start setting their sights on him.
"The war's about to begin, so I had no choice but to openly announce my identity," Caspian explained.
"What else have you been hiding from me? You might as well come clean today," Willow demanded.
"I'm not hiding anything else from you—except that other than being the Diatoranian God of War, I'm also the head of the Five War Gods of Diatoran, the chief commander overseeing Diatoran's troops in this war, and head of the Two Lakes area's investigative team."
Since he had already exposed his identity, Caspian decided to fill Willow in on all of the ranks and positions he held.
Willow and Zoey were stunned to hear of all the important positions he held.
Although they had deduced he was the Diatoranian God of War, they didn't expect him to be the chief commander of this war!
"Are you … really the chief commander?" Willow exclaimed.
"Yeah, I am. John and the others are my subordinates," Caspian elaborated since he didn't feel the need to continue hiding this information.
As soon as he replied, Zoey became so agitated that she nearly fainted.
Willow quickly held her steady while asking anxiously, "Are you alright, Zoey?"
"I-I'm fine. I'm just overwhelmed and a little scared," Zoey answered. Her emotions had nearly gotten the best of her.
"Huh? Who scared you?" Willow asked puzzledly.
"Caspian, of course! Who would've thought that he's the Diatoranian God of War?" Zoey exclaimed.
"Why are you even more agitated than I am?" Willow remarked exasperatedly.
Despite being Caspian's wife, she didn't have such an extreme reaction to the news. On the other hand, Zoey was on the verge of fainting.
"You have such an incredible husband, Willow! I bet I'll be benefiting from it just by being friends with you. Let's see who would dare to bully me now!" Zoey cried out excitedly.
"Didn't we already figure out that he's the Diatoranian God of War? Why are you still so excited now?" Willow commented. Even though she was rather floored by the news too, she wasn't as overwhelmed as Zoey.
