Willow could feel her heart flutter when she heard Caspian's captivating voice.
"What is it about that you have to tell me today? Can't you just tell me tomorrow?" Willow whispered loudly.
Zoey had just fallen asleep. She did not want to wake her up.
"It's an emergency. Please come out now. Do you still not trust me, honey?
"It might be too late tomorrow," Caspian said with some urgency in his tone.
He did this on purpose to lure her out.
Willow glanced at Zoey, who was sleeping soundly next to her. She only got out of bed after making sure that Zoey was fast asleep.
She had to get out of the room before they woke her up. If Zoey were to wake up now, Willow would not be able to leave.
Zoey would start questioning her about where she was going. After all, Willow could not possibly tell her she was going to go sleep with Caspian.
She got out of bed as discreetly as she could and tiptoed to the door.
She saw Caspian as soon as she opened the door. Whenever she was reminded of the fact that he was the Diatoran God of War, her heart would start to race.
With a puzzled look on her face, Willow asked, "So, what's the emergency?"
"What else? It's time to make a baby!" Caspian smirked as he scooped Willow up effortlessly and carried her to their master bedroom.
"You liar!" Willow teased coquettishly.
In fact, she had already guessed what Caspian was trying to do.
Before this, they had always used contraception whenever they made love to each other. Because of that, they could never conceive.
Willow actually loved children a lot. However, with everything going on, it was a little early for them to have a baby.
Moreover, Willow wanted the time for just the two of them to go on a little longer. Once a child came into the picture, they would no longer be able to enjoy their personal time.
As soon as they entered the room, Caspian threw Willow onto the bed.
"Are you going to use a condom?" Willow asked.
"Do you want me to?" Caspian asked.
He wanted their love to be complete by having children of their own.
"No, I want to be intimate with you, hubby" Willow flirted.
…
Meanwhile, in the other room, Zoey was already wide awake. She had only pretended to be asleep earlier.
She knew that staying at the villa was an inconvenience to the married couple. After all, they had been away from each other for so long. They were definitely looking forward to a passionate reunion.
Zoey was quick-witted as well. She could not stop the two from having a baby. Deep down, she was actually curious about how their intimate moments went as she had never been in a relationship before.
Nevertheless, she did not dare to eavesdrop. She could only toss and turn on her bed as she pictured in her head how they were going about doing it. Her heart began to race along with her excitement.
She was getting aroused.
…
"Let's not use it. I want our marriage to be consummated before the war starts," Willow said, blushing.
"The situation is extremely critical this time. Several countries are planning to attack Diatoran. I wouldn't want …" Caspian hesitated.
"Wouldn't want what?" Willow asked.
"The war this time around is unpredictable. If anything happens to me, you could still remarry. But if we have a kid, that'd be a different story. It'd be significantly harder for you," Caspian said.
Willow burst into tears after hearing what Caspian said. He was not wrong. Wars and weapons had always been ruthless. Nobody would be able to tell what the outcome of a war would be.
"You won't die. You're going to be fine! I won't be able to live if something were to happen to you. I'd definitely follow you into the afterlife," Willow said firmly.
Caspian was deeply moved to hear this.
"You can't. You have to go on living your best life no matter the outcome. I'm the Diatoran God of War. It's my duty to fight bravely with the soldiers to protect the people of Diatoran," Caspian said.
"I don't care. I just want you to live. Promise me that you'll come back alive?" Willow said as she wiped the tears from her eyes.
"I promise. I'll come home safely to you," Caspian said with a firm nod.
