The Almighty Lord Caspian novel Chapter 616

"Lord Caspian, why would you even need Phoenix Vanguard just to deal with some enemy special agents?" Macy complained as she was enjoying the fight at the frontlines and didn't want to leave.

Caspian replied, "The enemy special agents are trained fighters. Joey's men won't be enough to deal with them. I need you there at once!"

"But the battle here is just getting started. I don't wanna go!"

"Are you defying my orders, Macy? Bring Phoenix Vanguard with you and head for Riverside Villa now! I'll hold you responsible if anything happens to my wife!"

The loss would be tremendous if Willow was captured by the enemy as it would disrupt their current battle plans.

"Yes, sir! I'm on it right away!" Macy was reluctant to leave but didn't dare to go against Caspian's orders.

Macy soon led Phoenix Vanguard back to Riverside Villa.

Laina had also ordered the rest of Task Force Rose to head toward Riverside Villa as reinforcements.

Caspian made a call to the remaining soldiers stationed at the house and ordered them to be on high alert for incoming enemy attacks. They also needed to make sure that Willow was safe.

The armored soldiers immediately began preparations to deal with enemy attacks after the call.

Task Force Rose arrived at Riverside Villa as soon as possible and set up an ambush around the vicinity.

They had just finished setting up their positions when a group of men dressed in black appeared outside Riverside Villa.

The enemy special agents saw that there was not a single soul around Riverside Villa and were too puzzled to make a move.

"Is there not a single soldier defending this place? This doesn't seem right."

"Yeah. Did Caspian not leave any soldiers to protect his wife?"

"That can't be possible. Unless the soldiers are taking a break?"

"Absolutely no way. They wouldn't dare to leave their posts without permission. Could it be that our plan has been leaked?"

"What should we do now? Do we still proceed with the mission?"

The group of men began to discuss their next move.

They were all trained fighters with keen senses, and they all felt that there was something fishy going on.

The leader of the Astronian special agents, Caro, explained, "We don't have time to think about it! General Obrien tasked us to capture Willow as soon as possible. We'll have to head inside."

A Vadesian special agent replied, "It's way too obvious that we're walking into a trap! We're just walking into certain death!"

Caro replied, "Time waits for no one. General Obrien is currently trapped under heavy fire. We need to capture Caspian's wife in order to turn the tides of battle. The troops stationed here shouldn't be a problem for us. We're doing this!"

"You go first, then. I'll follow behind."

The Vadesian special agents weren't fully committed to the mission as their champion, Robert, was already no more.

They could always choose to quietly sneak out of the city instead of risking their lives for this mission.

They decided to let Astronian special agents lead the charge so that they could retreat at the first sign of danger.

Caro explained, "Fine, but you'd better actually follow up behind us. Capturing Willow will be beneficial for you guys as well. Don't just try to sneak out of Diatoran in one piece!"

They had no time left to idle any longer.

Caro led the charge with his men.

The Vadesian special agents stood around and waited.

Suddenly, there was a burst of gunfire from behind the bushes on both sides of the house.

The Astronian special agents screamed in pain before collapsing onto the ground.

"Fire!" Caro shouted.

He finally realized that he had been ambushed as he returned fire.

Both sides were immediately locked in a fierce battle.
