Melinda replied, "You're right. Maybe Sherry will change her mind if Willow's the one trying to convince her."
Marilyn explained, "It would seem that Willow will be our key. You guys should pay her a visit and ask her for her help whenever you're free."
…
After Logan returned to the airport, he assigned some of his men to remain by Southlake City to protect Caspian and Sherry.
He then left the city alongside Denzel.
…
Caspian, Willow, and Sherry returned to Riverside Villa.
Sherry became even more protective and caring toward Willow as she thought the latter really was pregnant.
Willow was too embarrassed to tell Sherry the truth as she noticed Sherry was in a good mood.
She felt awkward to have Sherry look after her constantly.
Willow was stuck in such a position because Caspian had lied about the pregnancy as well.
In their bedroom that night, Willow complained, "Why did you say that today, honey? I'm not even pregnant. If my belly doesn't grow larger in the next few months, won't the truth be exposed?"
Caspian smiled and replied, "Then, why don't we just make it happen for real?"
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"What else can I mean? Now that everyone thinks you're pregnant, we just have to hurry up and have a baby together. By then, you won't have to pretend anymore."
Willow blushed after listening to his explanation. "Oh, so that's what you meant."
It had been some time since the couple had enjoyed each other's company in bed.
Caspian explained, "We've been married for some time now. It's only natural to have a child. I guess we should stop using protection from now on to make sure that you get pregnant. Let's get on with it, then."
He had been busy with the war efforts and had not even touched Willow for over half a month.
Caspian was also feeling a little anxious.
Willow awkwardly shouted, "But I'm on my period right now!"
Caspian was left dumbfounded. "Why didn't you tell me earlier?"
"I only realized after the dinner as well."
"Then, can we still do it?"
"Of course not! You're just going to get blood everywhere!"
Willow couldn't believe that Caspian would even ask such a question.
Caspian replied, "Alright, then. There's no need for us to rush things anyway."
Willow asked, "Oh, yeah, what do you think about what happened with the Masseys today?"
"I'd have acknowledged Logan as my father long ago if the Masseys never humiliated Mom. I can't forgive them for disrespecting her."
"Will you change your mind once you find out that things happened for a good reason?"
Caspian nodded and replied, "Of course I will think about it."
