Just as Aria was about to shoot, Harley grabbed Miranda and pulled her in front of himself.
Harley wasn't foolish. He didn't want to be a sitting duck for Aria's gunfire, so he used Miranda as a shield against the bullets.
Seeing this, Aria couldn't continue shooting. However, rescuing Miranda meant engaging in a battle with these people.
Aria's attention then turned to the man in the white robe.
Among all the members of Three Poisons Hall, he was the only one dressed differently, making him stand out. Aria decided to target him first.
Aria pulled the trigger once more, aiming at the man. But just as the bullet was about to hit him, he disappeared into thin air.
"What are you standing around for? Get them!" Harley commanded as he waved his hand. He didn't want to waste any more time here.
Only then did the men snap out of their daze and rush toward Aria and Tom.
Tom couldn't afford to be careless. He raised his machete, preparing to face the onslaught.
Meanwhile, Aria continued firing, covering Tom.
Under Aria's assault, many of the men fell dead.
Unfortunately, Aria had only brought a limited number of bullets. Just as she emptied her magazine, the men closed in on her.
Startled, Aria realized she didn't have time to reload, and she was unarmed.
In that moment of peril, someone wrapped an arm around her slender waist and lifted her off the ground.
Aria was stunned. She turned around and saw that it was Tom.
Tom had rushed over to rescue Aria when he saw her in danger, disregarding any sense of decorum.
With deadly precision, Tom swept through the attackers with his machete, knocking several of them down.
Meanwhile, Aria was feeling slightly embarrassed. This was the first time she had been in such close proximity to a man. What made it worse was that Miranda was watching nearby.
Before Aria could contemplate further, a voice echoed in.
"Stop standing there! Grab a weapon and fight!" Tom urged.
Aria snapped out of her daze and picked up a machete from the ground.
The two stood back to back, engaging in a life-and-death struggle with their enemies.
As a member of Task Force Rose, Aria had received training in self-defense and was proficient in using various weapons.
However, they were outnumbered. There were just too many members of Three Poisons Hall present.
The two of them simply couldn't withstand the opponent's relentless assault.
Suddenly, Tom was ambushed from behind by the man in white. The attack sent him flying.
During this gap, the enemies seized the opportunity to capture Aria.
"Stop!" Harley commanded when he saw his men apprehend Aria.
He didn't want Tom to die. Otherwise, they'd never obtain the Black Moon Technique Scroll.
Tom was already heavily injured. Continuing the fight would only lead to his defeat.
"Tom, I'll give you one last chance. Where is the Black Moon Technique Scroll?" Harley asked coldly.
"I don't know," Tom replied disdainfully.
"Fine. Since you want to do this the hard way, don't blame me for being ruthless." Harley's patience had worn thin.
He wouldn't waste any time here if it weren't for the scroll.
"What do you want to do?" Tom asked, suddenly feeling uneasy.
