Chapter 149
Still Rolf Titus Point of View :
“Ti… Titus… he… help… me”
When I looked over after hearing the soft call of my mate’s voice, she had almost fallen unconscious.
With wide eyes I knew that I wouldn’t be able to catch her and with her pregnant condition, falling was a bad thing that could have a bad effect on the baby as well as my mate.
“No, Gwen” I called out and immediately froze when I saw a man catch her so that nothing bad could happen to her
With a sigh of relief, even though I hated the man who caught her and touched my mate, I couldn’t help but be relieved that he was able to move so fast to catch my mate.
However, as I approached the two of them, my heart seemed to stop as I realised something.
Badump… Badump…
What is this? No way!!!
The Demon named Astaroth raised his head with widening eyes towards me, as if he too could not believe what was happening. Yes, a very impossible thing happened in front of us, something I never knew could happen to a Demon.
Not as long as I’ve been alive have I heard stories about the things I saw, things where a Demon has a bond with a mortal on earth.
Not wanting anyone to know this secret, I immediately took my mate from the hands of the Demon, who didn’t seem to want to release his grip on my woman, but he knew that he couldn’t do anything, still in his shocked face, he finally gave my woman into my arms.
“Thank you” I said softly while nodding my head “Let’s talk in the other room” I added with a look so that he would not do anything else that could make all the members in this room suspicious of what happened.
D*mn it!
What is this?
What bond does Demon have with my mate?
Why now?
Why does it have to be with my mate?!
********
BLAM!!
I told him to wait in my room as I opened the connecting door and put my mate on her bed. Alexa was already there to keep her company.
She gave me a strange look, as if she knew what was happening and told me to be careful.
I just gave her a nod of my head, we all know Demons are the most unpredictable creatures, they can be good and
evil in just a second because it is in their nature to be evil and destroy the things they encounter.
That’s why we can’t trust Demons completely, because eventually they will betray us.
“Please take care of Gwen and check if she’s okay…” I ordered my mate’s loyal guard who nodded his head obediently at the same time a healer came into the room.
She nodded her head to me before walking towards my sleeping mate in my bed “She didn’t fall, but I don’t know why she fainted, I hope she’s okay” I explained to the healer who nodded her head again.
“I have heard from the Beta, my king” She informed me before touching my mate and examining her.
Click…
The door opened beside me and I looked over to see the Demon standing in the doorway connecting my room and my mate, he looked curious and I quickly walked over to him.
“Is she okay?” He asked and I almost raised my eyebrows hearing the concerned tone coming from his words.
Suppressing my jealousy because I knew it would only make him angry, I nodded my head “The doctor is checking on her” I replied quietly while trying to hold back my emotions.
D*mn, of all the things that can happen nowadays, why is this the case?
“Do you know why this is happening?” I asked the Demon who surprisingly nodded his head, but he knew not to explain when there were people in this room, at least he understood that I didn’t want anyone to know about this right now.
“She seems to have lost a lot of energy, very tired” The healer’s words made me look up and approach the bed where my mate lay limply there.
Losing energy? I thought and raised my eyes to meet the yellow eyes of the Demon who was still standing by the connecting door, like he knew what happened to my woman.
“I will prescribe vitamins for her to recover quickly and ask the chef to cook a nutritious meal” She added before nodding her head respectfully and walking out.
Letting out a long sigh, I patted Alexa on the shoulder before walking back towards the Demon, it seemed like it was time we talked and got an explanation for all of this.
Click…
Closing the connecting door behind me, I waited for her to speak, she must understand why I brought her here.
“Explain it to me” I ordered softly and made him raise an eyebrow as if hearing my words commanding him was something that annoyed him.
