~ Queen Helen ~

"You better have good news, Caspian," Queen Helen said, seeing her son arrive at the king's office.

As if she were the king, she sat on Balthasar's seat. Her mate, Alpha Blaze, sat on the chair across the table.

"Did you do it, Caspian? Son?" Alpha Blaze asked. "Did you destroy all the fire root plants?"

Caspian smiled from ear to ear. He lifted his chin and proudly revealed, "I did more than that! When I reached Mount Nefarious, I crossed pathed with Kieran Stone. He was after the fire root."

"I knew it! It was Alpha Kieran all along! But how did he manage to get the king out?" The queen wondered bitterly.

"He must have helped from Beta Ford, my love," Alpha Blaze suggested. "Since the beta had gone missing, we can assume his involvement in this."

"Caspian, please tell me you took care of Kieran?" The queen inquired.

"Most definitely, mother. Kieran Stone is dead. He slipped into the crater's center while trying to race after me. I distracted him, and he wound up falling down!" Caspian eagerly reported. "I killed him, mother, father. I killed Kieran Stone! Haha!"

Queen Helen's eyes widened. Her smile reached her ears. She was so happy that tears rolled down her cheek. Kieran had always gotten in the way of her plans unknowingly. Without him, she and Blaze can finally push through with their plans.

"Oh, Moon Goddess! Thank you!" The queen praised. "Thank you for answering my prayers!"

"This is good news, son, but what about the fire root plants? Did you destroy them all? Kieran may be dead, but others will try to take it to keep Balthasar alive," Alpha Blaze sought.

"Don't worry, father. I took care of it. I destroyed every single living fire root plant in the crater. There is nothing left! The king will die eventually, and I! I will be king!"

The family of three celebrated, hugging each other. After taking it all in, the queen said, "Now, it's time to follow through with our plans. First, we must announce Beta Ford's betrayal - abandoning his responsibility. We will also declare how the king has been kidnapped by Kieran Stone, so no other pack will help him in Taplean."

"The doctor said the king will only have one week to live. Let's give it one month and then formally announce the king dead and declare Caspian king!" Helen happily expressed.

"I can't wait, mother," Caspian remarked.

"Me too, son. I can't wait," Helen replied with a smile. She turned to her mate and said, "Blaze, take care of your divorce, please. We will slowly introduce the idea to the people how you had been my constant aid in the king's passing, and then we fell in love."

"That's a great idea, my love," Blaze replied. "I'll divorce my wife first, so they will not suspect us when we publicly announce our relationship."

"Yes," Helen said, maintaining her smile. "With Kieran gone, no one can stop us. We will hold power in Taplean."

~ Kieran ~

"What - what did you say?" Kieran asked, wanting to clarify things.

"Alpha, Luna Alexia is pregnant," Morgan repeated. "She is not sick - well, morning sickness always goes along with the early stage of the pregnancy. Your wife is three weeks pregnant. With the signs that she is showing now, also, given you both have alpha blood, Luna alexia will give birth after six months."

"See, Alpha? There is nothing to worry about," Ace comforted Kieran. Seth did the same.

Learning of this, Kieran walked over to Alexia, kissing her and hugging her. He said, "I'm going to be a father."

Alexia nodded, saying, "Yes, you are."

"I 'm going to be a father!" He said again, this time, louder than the last.

Alexia and everyone around them laughed at Kieran's reaction. Alexia repeated, "Yes, you are! Kieran, you already have your alpha heir!"

"Congratulations, Alpha Kieran!" Seth praised.

"Congratulations!"

"Congrats to Alpha Kieran and Luna Alexia!"

The surrounding warriors and the king's guards praised and wished for the couple. Even if, in the current state of Taplean, many things were uncertain, with Alexia being pregnant, Kieran found more strength. He will protect his wife and child and stop at nothing to resolve the accusations against him.
