* DEREK's POV*
Just what is taking her so long?
I waited patiently in the living room. My eyebrow furrowed as I unceasingly tapped on the sofa hand rest, my eyes locked towards the door in front of me.
It's been 3 hours since she left, so I couldn't guess what kind of matter she's dealing with, when all I ordered her to do was ask the main kitchen to deliver the supplies.
Should I just go to her?
I rubbed my temples together, "She's such a troublesome she-wolf."
At that moment, I was aware that I was painstakingly waiting for her like an idiot. The impulse wasn't something that I could prevent, unlike the others. My bond with her was more potent than anyone else.
I could sense her well, as if she's my other half. Feeling anxious, I didn't hesitate anymore and tried to reach out to her via mindlink.
['Where are you? Do you know what time is it?']
No answer. I sighed, my knuckles cracked in irritation.
['I know you can hear me! You better come back here now or else!']
Again, there was no response. My mind went blank from anger as I stood up. My fist shook as I fought the will to drag her back in the house.
But just when I was on the verge of losing to my instinct, I suddenly got a hold of her presence closing in, and her footsteps rang bells to my attention.
She stops in front of the door.
What is she doing?
Her movements were erratic, and her footsteps were all over the ground, so I had to check what was going on personally.
However, as soon as I opened the door, her small frame body topples to my chest, her breathing unsteady, and the tray that she was holding falls beside us.
"Shit-"
"...Alpha Derek?" She pants, her scent lingering.
My breath hitched when I felt my wolf scream in desire. She was wearing a tight red dress that showed her cleavage, her lips puckered toward me as her eyes fought to stay awake. I was even barely trying to hold her, my hands hesitantly set around her shoulder to support her.
I gulped in agitation.
"You really!" When I noticed the wine glass shattered on the ground, my eyes widened. "Is that wine?"
Confused, I checked her breathing to be sure. I felt my skin tingling when I realized that the same wine smell was coming from her. I couldn't express my thoughts. I wondered how can a she-wolf even get drunk in the first place?
Recklessly, she then wrapped her arms around my neck. I stiffened as I fought the urge.
"Alpha... am I not attractive?" She says in a slurred speech.
I sighed, moving my head back a few inches away.
"Look at you. Are you drunk? You're the first werewolf in history to get intoxicated. You really are something, aren't you? Tell me, what did you do this time?"
This time, she pulls me towards her as she replied with puppy eyes. If it weren't for me breaking the pull, then I would've already felt her lips on mine. I coughed, awkward to the stunt that she just tried to pull.
"Again! stop with these tricks!"
She spreads her arms in the air, before she sat down lazily on the ground. "But I can't live without it!"
She's crazy, I exhaled. "Get up. The floor's dirty."
"Pick. Me. Up."
