He eyes me, "Nah, Alpha Derek isn't into stuff like that. I haven't heard any women being related to him before. Though, I also can't blame him if he gives in to beta Venus."
Pft. I couldn't help but chuckle, "You're saying you find beta Venus attractive?"
He shrugs his shoulder, "Not taking her attitude into account. Then she'd be my type."
I replied with wide eyes, "I'm surprised. This is the first time you acknowledged beta Venus for something unrelated to her duties."
"Don't get me wrong," He says, "I do acknowledge her skill and abilities. It's just that there's something weird about her. You know, I've been under different mentors. Each of them had its unique battle principles, and yet beta Venus couldn't even teach us her original skill. I don't know if she's just hiding it, or she didn't know any of it at all."
Original skill? Now that I think about it, it is true that she hasn't shown us anything like that, I thought. A bit hesitant about the fact, I tried to defend Venus for now.
I shook my head, "I get where you're going at, but isn't it natural to not have her original skill yet? I mean, she's still young, unlike your mentors. Maybe she's just trying to teach us everything she learned from others."
"That's the point Easton, from her background, there was no such thing as having mentors or seeing her outside SunDale Pack. It wouldn't even be a surprise if Alpha Derek still suspects her at this point. However, I hope I'm wrong about this. Because if she really is a spy, I wouldn't exactly know what to do."
A spy? There's no way.
Battling my own emotions at that point, I just stood silently at the corner of the room. I couldn't refute anything back to him as what he said also proved something relevant. Then out of nowhere, I suddenly received a message from Liam.
['Easton, come to the borders now. Alpha Seff is making a commotion.'] Liam mindlinks me.
"Alpha Seff? What is he doing here?" I mumbled to myself.
"What is it?"
I turned to him, "Liam wanted me to control the borders. He said Alpha Seff is causing trouble."
"Why is he causing trouble? did someone anger him or something?"
"No, Alpha Derek just banned him from coming. Maybe that's why he's going loco at the borders."
Noah guffawed quite loudly, his body convulsing as he slowly died from laughter. I stared at him blankly. I can't say I have the same emotion since I'm one of the people who would have to handle Alpha Seff.
I breathe out, "What's so funny? are you even aware of how an alpha could get angry?"
He sniffs, trying to stop himself from laughing. "Sorry, sorry, it's just funny how Alpha Derek banned him all of a sudden. I'm now convinced that maybe something is going on between him and beta Venus. I mean why would he ban his friend, right?"
It's impossible to talk to this idiot. Rolling my eyes, I made my way out and left him since he continued to laugh. I made my way to the southern border, which Liam was stationed. When I arrived, my body froze as I saw many people blocking Alpha Seff's way. He was already in his wolf form, gnarling at the men who blocked his way.
Liam comes up to me, "Do something! haven't you been staying here longer than us?! we can't hold him up that long!"
