Cerberus POV
I loved watching her do it. I heard her wolfs joy in the agonizing screams of the woman who's throat she'd just torn out. I took a breath to collect myself. "Enough Luna. You've had your fill." I called to her reaching to stroke her soft ears. She gave a grunt as she dropped the trachea and turned back to me. "So beautiful mate" I gave her a soft growl. She bowed her head to me in submission. What's gotten in to her? I began to wonder. She stepped closer to me and I ran my fingers through her soft silk like fur. She purred as I focused my attention to the two males staring intently at my Mate. I let a snarl out and clutched her fur tightly pressing her against me.
"Surely you don't expect me to let you live. I should kill you for even thinking of her." I sneered tightening my grip on Isra. "Blake your wolf was killed our Alpha Blade is dead." The taller of the two growled at me. I bared him my sharp teeth. "Do you prefer I kill you like this or let Cerberus have the honors." I snickered. "All fun and games until that precious pup of yours is gone." The other man laughed at me. Flames engulfed me as Cerberus awoke to the threat of his pup. My bones cracked and shifted into place as my three heads focused on him. Red eyes glaring reflecting all of his fear. "Not my pup." I snarled. I swiped my paw at them catching their chains causing them to break. They shifted and snapped there jaws at me. My mate growled stepping closer to us. "My dinner" I snarled at her. She paused and bowed her head taking a step back. I picked one up and tore his neck open. The other I focused my eyes on him and shifted. Then he began to shake from fear and sweat flushed him. He made a choking noise as blood poured from his mouth and nose. I felt the small explosion go off him his hard blowing apart the muscles contracting blood. Isra stepped closer to me and shifted. "Why did he speak of our pup?" She said her voice giving in to her whimper. "Shhh don't worry my princess nothing will happen to our little one." I said nuzzling her hair trying to scent mark and reassure her.
Isras POV
We were making our way back to the pack house in the near dark had it not been for the sliver of moonlight in the sky. We walked in a comfortable silence mainly filled with bumping against each other as a way to scent marking one another. "I love you." I finally broke the silence. He gave a soft chuckle looking at me with those bright beautiful red eyes. "I love you too." He said sliding his arm around my waist pulling me close against him. Upon arrival to the pack mansion I sensed something. I didn't feel the normal pack energy. I can usually sense everyone in or around our home. I felt nothing. "Something is wrong Blake!" I clutched his hand tightly as we took off in a full spring to the house. As we burst through the back patio doors I saw Sable unconscious slumped in the corner against the wall in the kitchen. "No" I gasped rushing to her. Blake sprinted past me to check the rest of the house. Sable let out a very soft faint whimper to let me know she was still alive. I sighed and pulled her into me. "Shh." I cooed her. I summoned water from the sink to wrap around my hand. I held it to her head to help ease her pain. "Luna...I.....mmmm.." she was slipping in and out of consciousness. "What is it Sable?" I urged her focusing on my hand to heal her. "Luna look" she said turning her face to me pressing our foreheads together. I could only make out short images of her being flung about the kitchen. She was thrown against almost every surface but she was clutching something. Something small and grey. "Tari!" I howled in agony realizing what the broken images were telling me. I let out a long mournful howl. I heard Blake's howl echo back from upstairs. I heard footsteps rushing to me as I released Sable and staggered back to the kitchen island. "No mate. Hold on we'll find her." He said rubbing my hair but I was beginning to lose consciousness myself and soon darkness consumed my vision and only silenced remained with me.
