The Alpha's Surprised Mate (Book #1 of Silver Moon Series) novel Chapter 129

One-Hundred Twenty-Eight: Prank War

Dimitri

I usually like watching prank wars between these kids. I am still trying to figure out how I got incorporated into it. My hair is still a bright magenta. I would normally be for setting rubber insects or animals around the house to scare each other. You can’t do this with these seven. Their severe arachnophobia makes this impossible. I can’t blame the guys for that, though. Neither Chris nor I even thought about that. They had no idea, and the others knew not to. I have to admit what they did to Seth and Zak was fucking hilarious. However, they had still yet to get Peter and Colin. Both of those guys, you can tell, are getting more paranoid by the day. The guys have still been pranking each other. It was actually Kaleb that had replaced Marcus’s shampoo with hair dye. Marcus just about killed him when he found out. However, he is slightly afraid that Kylani might do something to him if he retaliates against Kaleb. Kylani flat-out told him that Kaleb was on his own in this prank war. Kaleb was shocked to hear that she wouldn’t even side with him. She told him that it’s every man and woman for themselves. I think he thought of pranking her until he started to see what was happening with the other guys. Honestly, I am more than happy to sit back and watch this war go on.

Peter

I am getting more paranoid and freaked out as time goes on. I know they have something in store for me. I just wish I knew when it was coming. After Chris had to rescue Seth from heaven, and then when Zak came down looking like that, I knew it was probably my turn next. They also still had Colin to get to. I was secretly hoping they would get him next. I was cautiously walking around the packhouse. I ran into Colin, who was also sneaking around. The two of us decided to pair up to protect ourselves. Hopefully, this will protect us from them. Something tells me that something bad is going to happen.

The weather had been shit for the last three days. No one had been able to get out and do anything. I knew shit was happening at the packhouse. Imyra had told me a prank war had broken out, and no one was safe. Apparently, even Dimitri got mixed up in it somehow. Which she said he was not happy about. I understood where he was coming from. Pranks were nothing new for all those boys in that house. Especially when the weather restricted them from getting outside, keeping all those kids confined for more than 24 hours was a recipe for disaster. Imyra was keeping us parents updated on the brewing war. Apparently, everything had been small shit until Zak, Seth, Peter, and Colin decided to prank Mykenzie and Kylani with giant rubber spiders. Well, I told Imyra to let us parents know when the funeral was, and we would attend. I guess after that, Dustin and a few others laid down a couple of rules for pranking each other. The damage had already been done. I have to admit when I heard what they had done to Seth, I laughed my ass off. I heard about what had happened the first time they went up to heaven and how he felt like he got whored out. Some of the terminologies that those kids come up with is classic. I decided to venture up to the packhouse and see my grandbabies. I hadn’t seen them in a few days and was having withdrawals. I was not too worried about getting mixed up in their war. Besides, Kylani loves me, so I figured I was relatively safe. I was right that I had nothing to worry about, but the sight I walked into was interesting, to say the least. As I walked up to the door, I heard a roar of laughter. I knew someone got it. As I walked into the main room, there stood Peter and Colin. Both were dressed up as angels. Ok, Colin doesn’t really need to dress up. They both had on the skimpiest lingerie possible. Colin’s already coloured hair had been styled into big bouncy curls, and the feathers on his wings were now a rainbow of colour. He also had on 6” clear stilettos. Peter’s normal sandy brown hair was now platinum blonde with pink in it. He had what I am assuming are fake angel wings attached to him also in a rainbow of color and again 6” stilettos. Basically, they had been dressed up to look like victoria's secret angels. I stood there for all three seconds before I started laughing. This has to be the funniest shit I have ever seen. I had to sit down on the floor. It was so funny.

“Well, Colin, at least you can pull it off,” Xion comments, laughing.
