The Art Of Revenge (Thalia Nash and Brandon) novel Chapter 104

Josh’s Pov

Because of visiting my mother every day, I was somehow acquainted with the care home’s ins and outs. That sick p*ycho had men following me in their dark-tinted cars, I spotted them the minute I got into the cab. The fools never even made the effort of hiding or maybe they thought I was s*upid.

I had no clue how they planned to do what they were up to but it was obvious they were going to force the liver out of me. So I had decided to take a breather and talk to my mother. I had no friends, she was all I had, and the only I could tell the hell I just find out.

Yes, I was supposed to walk into a police station and tell them my case but that p*ycho owned everyone in his pockets. I had to be careful with the way I dealt with the case. The only good part was that I had Kim, she was good with lawsuits and wouldn’t be bought because of the feelings she had for me. But for the liver donation, I needed to make a decision fast.

I walked into the care home like I did every day and asked for my mother. Even though she was still having problems recognizing me she was very excited when I told her about her granddaughter. I was so emotional and in tears, she requested to meet the little girl but I informed her about her condition.

“Why are you not donating what are you doing here?” She had asked.

I had only looked away in shame, she was right. She said something beautiful to me, something that she never said to me when I was growing up. In a short glimpse not sure if she was back in her head or it was a new Sharon talking but she told me not to let my children pay for my past as she did.

“Whoever wronged you should be second and your child should be first,” she added.

There was a lot of meaning in her statement even though I was not going to let Thalia and P*ycho off the h*ok so easily. Even if it was just for one day, I was going to put my princes first. I had kissed her goodbye and used the back door to get away while the fools waited for me on the front door.

I usually used the back door when I overstayed my visit or the care home was closed. The nurses allowed it because like everyone in the city, they pitied me, I was the man who stole from the first wife and got my karma handed back to me by my father who impregnated my second wife. They were aware my mother was all I got.
