The Biker’s Mafia Princess (Angel and Savage) novel Chapter 2

Dante POV.

“It was Roman Ricci. Luna has been linked to him as well as his father and Paddy.” Alessa is giving us all the rundown after the shit show that was the funeral for Hatchet and Deanna.

“Any idea where they have gone?” Antonio asks. Antonio Moretti, the head of the Moretti family, and Rebel’s grandfather asks. He, like us all, is angry. Angry that RJ is fighting for his life and his daughter Angel is beside herself, blaming herself for how her kids have turned out.

I don’t disagree with her; it is as much her fault as it is Savages. They all mollycoddled Luna and RJ while they turned their backs on Rebel. Is this their karma? Yes, I’m a heartless bastard when it comes to protecting the ones I love.

Rebel fainted from the stress and is still unconscious. We are having a meeting with the heads of each family and the presidents of each MC that were here today when the shit hit the fan.

“No, we are searching every available camera and have contacted all the contacts we have. We will find them and soon. The question is, what will we do when we find them?” Alessa says, and I look at Antonio and Teagan.

“Roman shot my grandson, Luna killed Hatchet and Deanna. If she didn’t pull the trigger, she sure as hell set it up. She will be dealt with accordingly for her part.” That’s bullshit, and he knows it.

“With all due respect, Antonio, our laws and the laws of the MC are clear. Anyone who betrays us or them dies. No matter if they are family or not. Gianni died for his part. It’s only right Luna shares the same fate.” I say to him and he looks at me with burning rage in his eyes.

“Dante, what you are saying is right. However, Luna is still a Moretti …”

“So was Gianni, but that didn’t stop your daughter from killing him. So her being a Moretti is irrelevant. Luna and RJ are equally to blame for what happened to the past president and his ole lady. Let’s not forget what Luna and RJ have both done to Rebel. Or did you forget the amount of times they attacked her growing up? Or the fact that you all turned your backs on her? Because I can say she doesn’t. But I bet, if it was Rebel who did this. She would already be dead. Am I wrong?” I say, and that causes everyone to look at me. Because I’m not wrong.

I wait for his response, but he looks down because he knows what I say is correct. They would have killed Rebel if she did this. I scoff at them. One rule for one and one for another. What a joke!

“The fact remains. Luna and RJ both betrayed your family and the MC. They need to be dealt with.” My grandfather says as he sits next to me.

Dominic Fanucci is longtime friends with Antonio. They go back to the days when they were both young Dons. They have respect for each other. My grandfather helped in the efforts to get Teagan back from her father Cartel Boss Fernando Rodriguez when they stormed Mexico to save her.

“You are asking us to kill them. Until RJ regains consciousness, we don’t know how involved he was. Luna, I fear she is a lost cause. Rebel is the president at the moment. I don’t want her making decisions with her emotions. We all know what happened today in the church. Rebel would have killed her if she got to her. Rebel is too emotional.” Antonio says and some agree with him, but not me or those loyal to her.

“Antonio, you know nothing about her. She is not emotional. She is indifferent. The emotions have been trained out of her. So what she has been doing for the last five years hasn’t been done based on her emotions. So that, my friend, is bullshit and you know it,” Alessa says, pointing at him.

Antonio sighs and rubs his forehead. I look at Nate and Nico, and they are both the same.

“Father, Alessa, and Don Dante and Dominic are right. If it was Rebel who betrayed us, she would already be dead. This is what is going to happen. As of this morning, Luna-Skye and Ryder-Junior are betrayers until we learn the truth. We can’t act without the evidence. Luna has already signed her death certificate, but RJ, we need to find out what he knows when he wakes up.” Nate says and I nod my head along with him, not because he is defending Rebel but because he is speaking sense.

“She killed them. If she didn’t do it with her own hands, she orchestrated it. I saw it in her eyes. I felt it in my gut. RJ is innocent.” We all look towards the door and see Rebel standing there. Dylan and I both stand and move to her. I kiss her lips softly and place my forehead against hers. Then Dylan does the same.

“You ok?” I ask her and instantly want to kick myself for asking the world’s most stupidest question. Of course she isn’t ok. What should have been a day to lay her nanna and pop-pop to rest turned out to be a firefight and a prison break.
