The Biker’s Mafia Princess (Angel and Savage) novel Chapter 2

Rebel POV.

After a couple of hours of doing the cleanup and making sure Roman was ok. We drove in silence to the hospital. RJ had hold of my hand the entire time. Even though he is nearly nineteen, he still needs comfort. He is a victim of Luna’s revenge as much as I am. Once we arrived. We get out of the SUV.

RJ to my left, Dante to my right and Dylan behind us as we all walk into the A&E Department of the hospital.

“I’ll see what is happening. Why don’t you three go and sit down?” I say as I approach the receptionist behind the Perspex glass.

“Hi, I am checking up on my mom. She was brought in a not so long ago with a GSW to the right shoulder. Her name is Angel Moretti-Jackson.” I say and she types away on her keyboard, looking at the screen.

“You said she was you mum?” I nod my head.

“Yes, she was taken from the scene by ambulance and my sister was in another one, Luna-Skye Moretti-Jackson.” I say and she nods her head.

“Ok, they are both back there. The police are there now as well. As you can imagine, we don’t treat that many GSWs.” She says, and I nod my head. She isn’t wrong, gun crime is slowly on the rise in this country. Whereas back home, they are prepared for this.

“Can we go and see my father, please? He came in with my mom.” I ask, and she smiles softly at me. Bearing in mind, my hands still have my mom’s blood on them and I must look a mess.

“Of course, go down that corridor and to the left. You will come to the observation ward. That is where they are.” She tells me and I smile at her.

“Thank you.” I say as I walk to the three men that came with me. I nod my head and they stand and walk behind me. The looks we all get are comical. I mean, Dante and Dylan are over six feet tall, packed with muscle and RJ, he isn’t far off them. Then you have me a tall, slim blonde. Compared to these three, I’m tiny.

I lead the way to the observation ward and open the door and see the police talking to my dad and uncle Nate. They see me and smile as I move towards the bed where mom is.

“Hey, mom. How you feeling?” I ask her as she looks at me and she is high as fuck.

“I’m fine, no pain. The pain meds are working a treat.” She says slurring and I chuckle at her.

“Don’t laugh at me. I know how I look. But seriously, these meds are great.” She emphasis the word great like tony the frosties tiger. I laugh loud at her and she smiles.

“Rebel, I love you. Nate said you left the Mother’s Revenge. Why?” she slurs more as her eyes slowly close.

“Don’t worry about that now. Have they patched you up yet?” She nods her head slightly as her eyes close and I smile. I move and brush her blonde hair from her face. Oh mom, why did you have to take that bullet?

“Hey little princess. She is going to be ok. You did good getting that bullet out, no major damage. They stitched it and she will need to stay for a few days for observation.” Dad says and stands behind me, watching his wife sleep.

“I’m sorry about all this, dad. This shouldn’t have happened.” I say, just watching her when he turns me and I look down like I’m about to be told off.

“Rebel, look at me,” he says and I lift my head, biting the inside of my cheek before he touches my cheek.

“You have nothing to be sorry for. It’s over, it is us that should be apologising. We want to fix this. That’s if you still want to?” he says and I nod my head and he hugs me.

“Oh princess, why did you do this? Why did you want to die?” he says, his voice cracking with emotion.

“It was the only way to stop this. Luna she caused all of this because of some stupid, sick idea that she was second best. So I was willing to just end it so y’all could just carry on like you have for years.” I tell him and he sighs loudly.

“Baby girl, no. It wouldn’t have done anything. What you did when you refused to kill her is more than what most would have after everything you have been through. That is why, when we get home, I want you to take over from me at the club.” I look up at him in shock.

I shake my head, no I don’t want it.

“No, dad. That position belongs to RJ. I have just left the Mother’s Revenge. I want to live my life in peace, dad. I have taken more lives than I can remember. I don’t want to do any of it, dad. Please understand.” I tell him and he nods his head.

“We will talk more when we get home. Right now mom needs to recover.” I sigh, knowing he won’t let this go.

“How is Luna?” I ask changing the subject. I look at RJ, Dante, and Dylan as they talk to the police and uncle Nate and now uncle Nico has now arrived. No doubt the police here won’t get involved. It’s not like the Moretti name isn’t known far and wide.
