The Biker’s Mafia Princess (Angel and Savage) novel Chapter 2

Scythe POV.

I fire my gun at the black SUV that has barrelled through the compound gates. Fuck, who are these guys? Why are they attacking us? We will get answers soon enough. They drive off, tyres squealing as we run behind them, shooting at the SUV. I run to the dead bodies that were thrown from the cage.

My breath catches in my throat as I get closer to them. No, this is not happening. How did they find them? Hatchet and Deanna. They were touring the country in their new RV. Miles away from here.

Savage comes running towards me. He falls to his knees and clutches them at him. My dad was behind him and Angel and my mom were behind him.

I stand and look around the compound, seeing members who are helping to get others to their feet. This is a message, but why?

“NOOOOOOO!” the pained roar from my club prez makes me look at him. He is heartbroken. My eyes fill with tears. Hatchet and Deanna were like grandparents to me and the mother and father to everyone here. The club’s past leaders, the alphas of the Princes Of Darkness MC.

“Nanna, pop-pop.” Luna and RJ run towards them. When I intercept them both, holding them back. Luna screams and cries, and RJ is the same.

“Let me go, let me go!” Luna screams and I let her go, and she staggers to her mom and dad. RJ following her.

I look at my dad, and he nods his head. I just watch as chaos ensues in the compound. Members running around waiting on orders from our prez. Angel is sobbing as she holds Savage. The crotch goblins are the same. It makes me feel sick that they would never be like this with Rebel. They would just act like she wasn’t there. That is why I’m going Nomad. I can’t be involved in this MC anymore. Not after everything they have done to Rebel. I should have left sooner, but couldn’t. I have nothing left for me now that Rebel has gone.

I scoff and walk away. I won’t stand around and watch this, not when I know Rebel will be more devastated than anything. I walk inside the clubhouse and head to my room. I grab my phone, but something stops me from calling her.

I pull her contact up, and my thumb hovers over her number.

“CHURCH NOW!” my dad’s voice infiltrates the air and I lock my phone and head to church. I take my seat as we wait for the rest to enter the room. Savage comes in. He is a broken man. He is going through an array of emotions right now and one wrong move will cause him to snap.

“This is war, for whoever has just attacked us, who have killed our past leaders.” His voice cracks. Some would think this was heartless of him to call church moments after what had happened. But this is our way. We act quickly, we don’t wait.

“I want answers in the next hour. Scythe, where is Rebel? She has to know what happened here.” I look at him before I tilt my head to the side. Does he think she is the cause of this? Is he fucking stupid? I know the answer to that, yes he fucking is.

“With all due respect, prez, I’m not her keeper. Do you think she has something to do with this?” I ask, and he looks at me with rage in his eyes.

“No, I don’t. But whether she likes it or not, she is still my daughter. She needs to be told and to be bought in. You know what? Fuck it. Just find out who dared to do this and leave the rest to me. Dismissed.” He bangs the gavel and I pull my phone back out and dial her number, but it just rings. I try again and it is engaged. I send a text and keep calling her.

Fuck! I leave the room and see Angel talking into the phone with tears streaming down her cheeks. I try her again but it’s engaged.

“Rebel, Rebel!” I stop mid-stride as she sobs harder. I look at my dad and mom and they are both watching me. I shake my head and walk out. I walk down the steps and my legs give out. I land on my ass. Folding my arms over my knees and just sob.

Deanna and Hatchet were amazing people and were there for Rebel as best as they could be. Why is this life so fucking cruel? Why did this have to happen? I stay there just crying and trying to make sense of it all. When I hear the rumble of a bike. I look up and see Rebel’s bike coming towards me at speed, followed by a sports car. I stand and move towards the bike, not looking at the flashy supercar.
