The Biker’s Mafia Princess (Angel and Savage) novel Chapter 36

Savage POV.

They fucking ambushed us and kidnapped my daughter. Angel has been laying unconscious on the hospital bed for three fucking days. Her hand is in mine as I sit beside her. Antonio, his men, Teagan, and my parents arrived not long after Foxy and her new friends escaped.

I ran to the SUV that was on its roof to find Rebel gone and Angel unconscious and bleeding. I was shot in the shoulder, but I didn’t care at that moment. My heart fucking stopped seeing my angel, my goddess, like that.

We have had teams looking for Rebel. All the traffic cams have been pulled and Ice, Rosena, and Simon are searching for the remaining Viper’s. I need to get my daughter back and I will fucking destroy anything and everyone who gets in my fucking way.

“Any change?” I shake my head, not taking my eyes from Angel, whose face is bruised and cut. This will kill her that she will feel like she failed to protect Rebel and our unborn child. Sadly, she lost the baby and I don’t want to tell her, it will gut her. Like it guts me. They tried everything, but she had already lost it before she reached the hospital.

“Any news yet about Rebel?” I ask, not taking my eyes from my woman. Teagan sighs as she places her hand on my good shoulder and I look up at her and she shakes her head. I have never felt so powerless before. Knowing my daughter is out there somewhere and not knowing where she is. I fucking failed to protect my family.

“Ryder, we will find her and they will pay for this. No-one and I mean no-one does this to my family and lives to tell the tale. I have mobilised everyone to find them. All the Dons, the cartel, the Moretti’s and those loyal to the DeNucci’s are searching every crack for them. We will have them soon. I promise you that,” she says when I hear a groan and I look at Angel, who is in pain as her eyebrows furrow as she tries to open her eyes.

I stand up and watch her. “Angel, open your eyes, princess.” She blinks slowly as her eyes open and she looks at me before she bursts into tears. I climb up on the bed and hug her gently, not wanting to cause her anymore pain.

“Rebel, she took Rebel. Where is she? Please tell me you have found her?” she sobs, and it breaks my heart more. I sob silently as I hold her, hearing her wail like a banshee.

“We are trying to find her. Angel. I’m sorry, princess.” She stiffens and I move back to look at her and her hands go to her stomach as the tears slide down her cheeks. She looks up at me and I see something flash in her eyes.

“I lost our kids.” She says and I bite my bottom lip to stop from crying and I can’t answer her. This isn’t her fault.

“Don’t do this to yourself, Angel. It is not your fault, OK? We will get Rebel back, I promise you. The doctors tried everything, but it was too late. I’m sorry princess, I’m so fucking sorry.” And just like that, the tears completely stop. She looks towards the door and I wait for her to erupt, to scream, to do something, anything. But she is calm, too calm. Like the calm before the storm or the eye of the hurricane.

Teagan moves to her, but Angel just stares at the door. It’s like she has shut down. She doesn’t even blink. “Angel, look at me. This is not your fault.” She turns her head slowly to look at me and the look gives me freezes me to the spot. Without a word, she turns her head back, reaches for the cannula in her arm and pulls it out.

“Angel, what the fuck are you doing?” Teagan rushes to her as Angel pulls the covers away, blood trickling down her arm. I move to grab her and apply pressure to her arm to stop the bleeding. She looks ahead. The door opens and in walks the nurse, seeing the blood and me and Teagan screaming at her, but it’s like she has checked out completely.

She blinks and snaps her head to me and looks at me. I remove my hand from her and she walks to the door.

“Where are you going? Angel, you need to get back into bed.” I scream as I try to grab her again. But as I grab her, she turns and throat punches me. She turns again and walks out of the room. She is on autopilot. I choke and gasp for breath as I stagger after her.

My family and hers are standing watching her as she walks past them in her hospital gown and bare feet. It is then that I see her take a gun from her uncle as she passes him.

“ANGEL, STOP!” I shout when she does, only to push the door open.

“Why would you give her a fucking gun?” I shout at Gianni and he chuckles.
