Savage POV.
Today started like any other, with Rebel climbing all over me. I always pretend to be asleep when she does it before I grab her and kiss her all over her little face. She squeals and laughs and I tickle her. When she first started staying here on the weekends, she slept with me. I didn’t want to be apart from her, and I still didn’t.
I don’t have her at the clubhouse of an evening now; we stay in my house. She has her own room, bed, clothes, and toys. It is quieter there, and we have established a routine.
This morning we are at the clubhouse. I was coming out of the kitchen when I collided with one of the new club girls. I grabbed her before she fell. She screamed with a squeal and snort, and I laughed as I pulled her up. She was too busy texting and not looking where she was going when we collided. I was no better. I was sending Angel a morning text as well.
She apologised, and I did the same. Then we parted ways and we haven’t looked at each other or spoken since. Rebel is playing on the play equipment with Dylan and some of the other kids. So I’m working on my bike not too far away. I can see her and she can see me.
“Daddy.” I lift my head and see Rebel running towards me. I’m alert for any danger, as she doesn’t look happy.
“Princess, what’s wrong? Are you hurt? Let me see.” I say to her, checking her over and she has tears in her eyes.
“Do you have a girlfriend?” My eyes widen, and I choke on my breath as I look at her in shock and confusion. A girlfriend? What the ever-loving fuck!
“No princess, who said that? I love your mommy too much. She is the woman I want.” I hug her as her lip quivers and I look towards the play equipment.
“You promise?” her voice is raspy, and I know she is about to cry. I become enraged that someone would say this to my daughter.
“I promise. Who said this to you?” I ask, trying to reign in the beast that wants the blood of the person who made my little princess sad.
“I heard the girls talking when they walked past me.” She looks up at me and her honey coloured eyes are shining with unshed tears.
“I want to go home, daddy. I want mommy. I don’t like them. They are nasty!” she sobs and I hug her tighter as I glare at the club girls as they walk inside the clubhouse.
“It’s ok princess, daddy will sort this out. I only want you and mommy ok? Don’t listen to them.”
“NO, I WANT MOMMY, I WANT MOMMY!” Shit, she screams and thrashes. The men all look over and my dad and Blaze come over trying to calm her down, but it only makes her worse. We were having such a great day today and now it’s gone to shit because of meaningless words. Well, they are meaningless to me, but not to Rebel. She is hurt. They will fucking pay for this. Damn gossip. Why can’t women learn to shut their damn mouths? They know I’m only interested in one fucking woman. My woman!
“Shhh, rebel, it’s ok,” she thrashes and fights. She wiggles down and runs away. I stand to chase her when I stop in my tracks as I watch Angel scoop her up in her arms, sending me a glare.
“Angel.” I say as I walk towards her when I hear Rebel telling her mom what happened.
“It’s ok baby, it’s ok. I’m here.” She coos and soothes our daughter. She is wearing denim shorts and a baby pink vest top. Her long blonde hair is in a high ponytail and she looks fucking beautiful. My cock begins to harden in my jeans as I take her in.
“Ryder, we need to talk.” She says and my heart beats erratically. I have waited so long to hear her voice again, to see her in the flesh. Here she is, right in front of me.
