Lysander was straining his brain, trying to pinpoint the exact moment he had made that statement, and how on earth Thalassa had overheard it. But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't recall. After an accident that left him with a severe head injury and in a coma for three years, it wasn't surprising that some memories had simply faded away.
"Hey, if you can't remember, don't sweat it. Let bygones be bygones. I trust you, and I won't jump to conclusions anymore," Thalassa said, noticing the effort Lysander was putting into recalling the past. He looked frustrated, a clear sign he hadn't remembered anything.
Quickly, she looped her arm through his, offering him a reassuring smile, which Lydia mirrored. Recalling Lysander's ordeal—the accident, the coma, and his miraculous recovery—Thalassa couldn't help but feel worried. Even though he seemed to have recovered physically, there had been moments when he struggled to rise after kneeling.
"Let's visit Dr. Funke's clinic," she suggested, masking her concerns with a pretense of visiting her aunt who worked there. "Why don't we stop by Dr. Funke's clinic? It's been a while since I've seen my aunt, and we should share our good news with her," she said, referring to their marriage without directly mentioning her wish to have Lysander checked once more.
"Why go to the clinic?" Lysander asked.
"It's been so long since I've seen my aunt. Can't we just visit her? Plus, we're married now, and we should definitely share the happy news with her," Thalassa replied, successfully convincing Lysander.
