"Yeah." Freya nodded, then asked, "What else could it be?"
Kieran had half-expected Freya to explain why she got into Preston's car the previous night.
But, to his surprise, Freya didn't take it to heart at all, showing no intention of explaining herself to her fiancé.
The thought constricted Kieran's chest, making it hard for him to breathe. However, he quickly reminded himself that since he had resolved to hold back his feelings for Freya, he shouldn't let her actions sway his emotions.
With an indifferent tone, he said, "You can leave now."
Facing Kieran's inscrutable attitude, Freya didn't ask further and turned to leave.
Standing by the door, Jarrett silently broke into a sweat. He thought, ‘Could Ms. Dawson not see that Mr. Sutton was upset? Any normal person would sense something was off, right?’
By then, Freya was driving toward the Sutton Mansion.
Seeing Freya's return, the housekeeper warmly opened the door for her and said, "Ms. Dawson, Mr. Sutton instructed me to take you to the basement."
"Okay." Freya complied.
