The Bride Who Said No: Escaping the Shadows of Yesterday novel Chapter 247

Kieran's grip on her arm suddenly tightened.

Freya winced, a sharp intake of breath as a sheen of cold sweat broke out on her forehead. "Kieran, you're hurting me!"

Then, Kieran realized his lapse, noticing the wound on Freya's arm that he was inadvertently squeezing, and he quickly let go.

Seeing it, Freya immediately put some distance between them.

"It doesn't matter whether it's Ronan or Preston. It has nothing to do with you, Mr. Sutton. We're no longer engaged, so you have no right to meddle in my affairs, as we've agreed."

Kieran scoffed coldly at her insistence on severing their connection. "It looks like you've cozied up to those two."

"Think whatever you want, Mr. Sutton." Freya didn’t want a further conversation with Kieran.

"Freya, those guys are way out of your league. I’ll be here waiting for the day you come crawling back to me."

"Rest assured, Mr. Sutton. That day will never come."

With that, Freya picked up her cane from the ground and started limping toward the stairs, a struggle evident in each step.

The maid nearby, who wanted to offer her support, was stopped by a sharp look from Kieran.

Wanting to distance herself from him? He was not about to let her get her way.

Freya got up early the following morning, intending to move out of the Sutton Mansion as soon as possible.

However, she found Nancy unpacking her suitcase, laying out everything she had packed the night before. "Nancy, what's going on?"
