The Bride Who Said No: Escaping the Shadows of Yesterday novel Chapter 306

Freya furrowed her brow in frustration. "Where did you hear that?"

"Are you out of the loop? The school's social media is blowing up over it!" Luna's voice came through, tinged with impatience.

Kieran's fiancée could have been anyone, but it couldn't be Kara. Wouldn't that make Freya the laughing stock to outsiders?

Luna fumed. "What was Audrey thinking? I used to think she was one of the good ones. I can't believe she'd pull something like this! She's trying to make you look bad."

Freya tried to soothe her. "No worries. It might just be rumors, not the truth. And even if it is, I don't care."

"I'm upset for you, and you are not even worried!" Luna sounded huffy over the phone.

Suddenly, Preston coughed from the side.

Hearing a man's voice, Luna paused, "What was that sound? Could it be..."

Freya knew Luna was probably imagining a whole drama in her head.

Holding her forehead, she said, "Luna, it's not what you think."

"I get it. I get it. I understand everything!" Luna suddenly sounded excited, "I thought you'd be heartbroken over Kieran, but look at you, moving on so quickly. That's my girl! I was worried for nothing. Since you're busy, I'll hang up. I don't want to interrupt. Next time we meet, you'll have to tell me everything!"
