Mrs. Simmons had a soft spot for Kara, but none of her fondness remained.
Kara bit her lip in frustration while watching Mrs. Simmons leave in the elevator.
Freya had broken off her engagement with Kieran, so why were people still siding with her? It was downright unfair!
The following morning, gossip that Freya was a wealthy heiress spread throughout the neighborhood, turning her into a hot topic of conversation over coffee and pancakes.
Everyone was curious to see what this rumored heiress looked like.
So, when Freya stepped out, she noticed countless curious stares. Finally, unable to bear it any longer, Freya called Ronan. "Were you serious about finding me a place to stay last night?"
"Why would I lie? I've found something. I was just about to call you."
"Great. I want to move out immediately."
"That urgent? Who’s got you upset?" Ronan could instantly tell something was off with Freya’s mood. She didn’t like being the center of attention, scrutinized by prying eyes.
"Yeah! Exactly!"
"All you need to do is stay put, or I can send someone to pack everything you need." With that, Ronan hung up.
Freya was waiting at the entrance of the apartment, and soon enough, Ronan pulled up in his car.
A few bodyguards in sleek suits stepped out, greeting Freya respectfully. "Ms. Dawson."
