"Get back here and call the principal now! In front of me, do it!" Kieran's words were sharp as icicles.
Jarrett swiftly placed his phone on the desk, dialed the principal's number, and hit the speaker button.
The call went through quickly. The principal's voice sounded cheery, "Jarrett, what brings you to call me this early?"
"Principal, Mr. Sutton would like to inquire about Ms. Dawson's situation," Jarrett said with utmost seriousness.
Hearing the question was about Freya, the principal slickly responded, "Ah, we’ve handled Ms. Dawson's case. After all, she offended Ms. Harwood and even injured a student council member. So, the punishment is perfectly justified, all in Ms. Harwood's favor."
After hearing it was Eloise's idea, Kieran's expression darkened.
Seeing Kieran's displeasure, Jarrett, knowing what would come, pressed, "And who authorized this punishment? Was it entirely Ms. Harwood's whim?"
"Isn't it?" The principal on the line was stunned. "I followed Ms. Harwood's instructions to expel Freya yesterday. Did I misinterpret something? Or was the punishment too lenient?"
"Punishment?" Kieran scoffed, "You're a principal, not a sheriff. What gives you the right to punish?"
"Mr. Sutton," the principal's voice trembled upon recognizing Kieran's voice.
He hadn't anticipated stirring Kieran's anger, especially since he had called Jarrett the day before, emphasizing not to wrong Eloise, which led to Freya's expulsion.
