Freya swiftly tore through the yellow caution tape blocking her path, muttering "Crazy" under her breath as she walked away.
Kieran's expression darkened instantly.
Jarrett approached Kieran, saying, "Mr. Sutton... Ms. Dawson, she... she left."
"I'm not blind; I can see that," Kieran retorted, his gaze fixed on the caution tape, now a source of irritation. "Get rid of all this stuff; it's giving me a headache," he said coldly.
Jarrett wanted to point out that it was Kieran himself who had ordered the tape put up, but he held his tongue.
"And have you checked where Freya's been staying lately?"
"Sir, you mentioned you didn't want to be involved in Ms. Dawson's matters, so I..." Jarrett trailed off, only to be met with a chilling look from Kieran. "Even if Freya is my ex-fiancée, her affairs reflect on the reputation of Sutton Enterprises! I want to be informed about her, in detail and promptly!"
"Yes, Mr. Sutton," Jarrett complied.
Meanwhile, Jenny got expelled right before finals, missing out on her last opportunity to graduate.
On the day of the exams, to everyone's surprise, Freya showed up at the testing center. The other students were taken aback.
Wasn't Ms. Dawson injured and unable to take the finals? Yet, there she was.
Ignoring the stares, Freya made her way to her seat, her wrist bandaged, limping slightly, her right hand hardly able to hold a pen. The room was filled with curious glances, wondering how she would manage her exam.
