It wasn't the first time Freya had become the butt of the joke among their elite circle. In their eyes, someone like Freya, desperately throwing herself at them, deserved to be toyed with.
Seeing Luna on the verge of tears, Silas couldn't help but look toward Kieran.
But there he was, leaning on the couch, expressionless, sipping on whiskey as if he had no intention of intervening.
"Kieran!" Silas approached Kieran, lowering his voice, "This is too much! What if Ms. Dawson shows up? Do you want her to be the joke of Echo City?"
"Why should I stop her if she's asking for humiliation?" Kieran replied coldly.
Silas retorted, annoyed, "This is Eloise's party! You're ruining it, and that's not fair to her either."
Eloise also grabbed Kieran's arm, pleading, "Yeah, Kieran... maybe you should call Ms. Dawson and tell her not to come."
"She embarrassed you before Grandma. I said long ago she should apologize on her knees." Kieran's voice was indifferent, with a hint of chill.
Hearing this, Eloise unconsciously let go of Kieran's arm.
Puzzled, Silas said, "Kieran, this is too much! You've never gone this far before. What's gotten into you today?"
