The Bride Who Said No: Escaping the Shadows of Yesterday novel Chapter 59

The place was a high-end club designed specifically for young heirs like Hanley, which boasted an array of private themed rooms that catered to the wealthy elite's taste for discretion and exclusivity. Many affluent individuals frequented this place for clandestine meetings.

At that moment, Hanley bolted out of the hotel, stark naked, his expression one of sheer terror as if he'd seen a monster. It wasn't until he spotted Kieran that he hurried over and clung to Kieran's legs, pleading, "Kieran, Mr. Sutton! Save me!"

Tasers in hand, two bouncers emerged, their uniforms adorned with the crest of the Beckett family. Undoubtedly, Ronan had sent them to teach Hanley a lesson.

"Mr. Sutton! They... Ah!"

Before Hanley could finish, Kieran had kicked him away.

"Mr. Sutton?"

"Where's Freya?" Kieran's voice was deep and menacing.

Assuming Kieran was disappointed in him, Hanley quickly explained, "Mr. Sutton, I was so close. But then Ronan showed up out of nowhere! Mr. Sutton, Ronan is looking to challenge you!"

At that moment, Ronan emerged from the hotel, carrying Freya in a disheveled state and wrapped in Ronan's jacket. Kieran's expression turned even colder.

"Mr. Sutton, it was him!" Hanley pointed accusingly at Ronan.

"Oh, Mr. Sutton, you're here to back up your own?" Ronan's voice was thick with derision as he flashed a mocking smile. "I never knew the CEO of the Sutton Group could stoop so low. Today has really been quite the eye-opener."

"Why waste words on such a person?" Freya said coldly. "I'll seek justice from the Sutton family for today's incident. Mr. Beckett, let's go."

As Ronan walked away with Freya, Kieran clenched his fists.
