Freya had just picked up her coffee mug as Kieran pressed his hand down on the mug. With a swift move, Kieran flung the mug aside, shattering it to pieces.

Kieran fumed. "Freya, you play hard, don't you? Last night, I almost fell for your trick."

"Mr. Sutton, what are you talking about? I'm lost here." Freya gave Kieran an innocent look.

However, Kieran coldly replied, "You teamed up with Grandma to put on a show to ensure we were alone together and even had Ellie catch us in the act. All this for that two billion, right?"

Hearing Kieran's words, Freya realized Kieran suspected the money she used to bail out her company came from Audrey.

"Mr. Sutton, you're overthinking this." Freya looked at Kieran earnestly and said, "Last night's incident had nothing to do with me. And about that two billion in funding, I raised it myself. Audrey wasn't involved at all."

"You still want to lie?" Kieran's gaze narrowed as he said, "I used to think you were just a little gold-digger, but now, it seems your appetite is much bigger than I imagined."

Saying so, Kieran moved closer to Freya. "How much did Grandma give you to go through all this trouble to set me up?"

Seeing Kieran closing the distance between them to a half step, Freya instinctively stepped back and said, "Kieran, I don't know how you've concocted this whole drama in your head, but I've said what I needed to. I don't know what to say if you still think this way about me."

Seeing Freya's indifferent expression angered Kieran more. He scoffed, "So, you're confident, huh? Confident that I can't do anything to you?"

"Mr. Sutton, you are full of yourself. I haven't been focusing on you at all. If it wasn't for you not wanting to call off the engagement and letting Audrey interfere, we would've had nothing to do with each other by now."

Hearing Freya's words, Kieran's expression turned icy.

Freya said, "I think it's best if we go our separate ways. Once the current gossip about us dies down, we can find an excuse to call off the engagement, right?"

"So, you want to break off the engagement?" asked Kieran.

"Yes." Freya didn't hesitate to give her answer.
