The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 1141

Chapter 1141

Alicia got out of the car. Amelia was sitting in the back seat because the front passenger seat had been occupied by some prayer candles Alicia had placed there.

The door was closed, and the key remained inserted in the ignition.

Amelia remained seated in the car. Somehow, she felt the fragrance inside the vehicle growing more potent, much like the scent emanating from the pouch. Soon, she started to feel drowsy.

Before Amelia knew it, her eyes slowly drooped, and she fell asleep.

After a while, two men walked to the side of the car and opened the door casually. Then they got into the car and directly drove off.

When Alicia exited the church, her car was nowhere to be seen in the spot where she had parked it.

Alicia ran into the church anxiously and asked about her car. After a while, she called the police.

“Hello, I have a situation. My car has gone missing, and my friend is inside it. I’m unable to reach her. Can you assist me in locating her? My address is…” Alicia explained her predicament to the police with great anxiety.

After the call, she lowered her head and seemed to be waiting anxiously in place, but there was a subtle smile playing on her lips.

“Since Amelia decides to be cruel, don’t blame me for returning the gesture,” Alicia thought.

When Warren received a call from Matilda, he was shocked. “What? Amelia is missing?”

“Yes. Amelia and her friend went to the church to pray. Amelia remained in the car alone and inadvertently fell asleep. It so happened that the car key was left in the ignition. Two thieves took advantage of the situation, opened the door, and drove off. Now the car and Amelia haven’t been found yet.” Matilda choked with sobs as she relayed what the police had discovered.

Initially, Matilda had encouraged Amelia to visit the church for solace, but little did she anticipate that an unfortunate incident would befall her

daughter.

Matilda regretted letting her daughter go to the church.

“Even though Amelia’s friend has already informed the police, they haven’t been able to locate her yet. Warren, can you brainstorm any ideas to help find her?” Matilda was filled with anxiety.

“Which police station is in charge of this case?” Warren asked.

Matilda provided the police station’s address, and Warren responded, “I’m on my way.”

Then he hurried out of the office and went directly to the underground garage. He drove quickly toward the police station.

Along the way, he kept thinking about Amelia and praying in his heart that nothing happened to her.

When Warren arrived at the police station, he saw Matilda sitting on the chair in the police station and wiping her tears constantly.

Upon seeing Warren, Matilda burst into tears. “Warren, what should we do? Amelia is still pregnant. Will these car thieves hurt her?”

Warren gently patted Matilda on the shoulder. “Mom, don’t worry. I will find Amelia as soon as possible! Which friend did she go to the church with?”

“Her friend’s name is Alicia. Now the police are taking her statement,” Matilda said.

Hearing this, Warren frowned. He had no good impression of Alicia.

Although this woman had helped Amelia in prison before, now it seemed like she only wanted to scheme against Amelia.

Amelia went to the church with this woman and had now gone missing. Warren couldn’t help but wonder if it was all just a coincidence.

Just then, the door to the statement room swung open, and Alicia emerged with red, teary eyes. After seeing Warren, she said, “Mr. York, it’s all

my fault. I asked Amelia to wait for me in the car and left to look for my phone. I never imagined she would encounter car thieves in broad daylight while being in the car…”

Warren looked at Alicia coldly. His icy gaze shuddered Alicia and sent chills down her spine.

“Of course, it’s your fault.” Warren’s voice rang coldly. Then he walked past Alicia and began to communicate with the police who handled the

case.

Alicia’s body trembled, and her face became more and more sullen.

Matilda thought Alicia was guilty, so she comforted her with red eyes, “You… Don’t take Warren’s words to heart. He is just too worried about Amelia. If he’s searching for someone to blame, it should be me. If only I hadn’t convinced Amelia to go to the church!”

Putting on an act, Alicia then began to offer comfort to Matilda, but deep down, she couldn’t help but secretly revel in the possibility of Amelia’s misery.

She had already colluded with Jasper. The two car thieves were also sent by Jasper.

She and Jasper had already devised a scheme for Amelia. They would let the two car thieves assault Amelia, intending for her to have a

miscarriage. Then Jasper would pretend he coincidentally stumble upon Amelia and claim credit from Warren.

If Warren wanted to cover up such a scandal, his only option would be to present Jasper with lucrative business deals. At that point, Jasper wouldn’t forget her contributions and would grant her well-deserved benefits.

This way, not only could she satiate her resentment, but she could also get the money. Besides, she could relish the sight of Amelia’s suffering. It was like killing multiple birds with one stone.

Thinking of this, Alicia was even smugger. But on the surface, she continued to wear an expression of guilt, blaming herself even further.

Anyway, now she just needed to clear herself of the suspicion, Jasper could do the remaining well.
