The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 319

Chapter 319

He should have held her close from the beginning!

“Hey, why are you drinking alone?” Suddenly, Alan’s voice sounded in Calvin’s ears. “It’s rare for you to come here today. How boring it is to drink alone!”

“Boring?” he reiterated his word in his heart.

Calvin turned the glass in his hand and glanced at the people around him.

The reason why he agreed to attend Alan’s party was just that he had been so depressed these days that he wanted to relax a bit.

But when he came, he found it was the same here.

It was Rosalie whom he kept thinking about, and he just couldn’t get her out of his mind.

“By the

way, I heard that you and Jonathan seemed to have a conflict earlier. What’s going on?” Alan asked.

Calvin looked at his old friend with a faint smile whom he had known for many years, as he said, “You are really well informed.”

Alan was stunned. “Really?” He just heard some track hearsay, but it actually turned out to be true. “Why did you have a conflict with Jonathan?”

After all, they had known each other since they were little. In Alan’s view, Jonathan and Calvin were least likely to have a conflict in their circle.

They were both too rational and would weigh the advantages and disadvantages of everything, but Jonathan was indifferent to everything-of course, it was before he met Rosalie. At least at the last banquet, Alan found that Jonathan actually cared about her.

As for Calvin, in Alan’s view, this guy always had an alienated attitude toward people. The only thing that could attract Calvin’s attention was the owner of the bracelet.

Even in their circle, many guys were betting on how long it would take Calvin to find the owner of that bracelet.

“Do you want to know?” Calvin asked.

“Is there a business conflict between the Gunner family and the Youngblood family?” Alan thought for a while and asked.

Calvin was just too lazy to answer his question.

“At least not for a woman?” Alan muttered.

“What if I say yes?” Calvin said.

Alan was shocked and said, “You… You and Jonathan…” If it was really for a woman, then was it… Rosalie?!

Alan was suddenly a little stunned to hear that.

He didn’t think Rosalie was so attractive. Besides, she had been in jail before. Why did both of them…

“Aren’t you looking for the owner of that bracelet? Why did you fight with Jonathan over a woman? Besides, he seems to be going to marry Rosalie, so you needn’t—”

Before Alan could finish his words, Calvin suddenly stood up from the chair. His expression was no longer as casual and lazy as he was just now. Instead, he became anxious and nervous as he said, “What did you say? Going to marry?!”

“Yes… Yeah, L… I heard that Jonathan seemed to have bought the Icy Crystal diamond. It’s said that he wanted to make it into a wedding ring.”

As soon as Alan finished his words, Calvin rushed towards the exit.

Alan stared at Calvin’s back in a daze, still at loss.

What was going on? It was the first time he had seen Calvin show such an anxious and nervous expression because of a woman and even rush out on impulse!

“What kind of woman was Rosalie?” Alan wondered.

He had thought that even if it was for a woman, it would be just a little conflict.

But now… a trace of worry filled his heart. If they were really fighting over a woman… it would cause violent upheavals in

Strico then!

“But wait a minute! Calvin had been concerned about the owner of the silver bracelet, hadn’t he?

“Unless…” Alan suddenly didn’t dare to think about it anymore.

Because the assumption would cause dire consequences, which struck fear in his heart!

Calvin drove all the way to the diner.

He thought, “Marry? Is she going to marry Jonathan?”

Even before he found out the truth… No, he would never allow her to marry Jonathan!

He had been looking for her for so many years and even engraved her voice and face into his mind, bones, and blood. But how could he end up with such a result?!

Calvin gripped the steering wheel tightly with his hands and kept accelerating…
