The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 447

Chapter 447

He was convinced that she was using his lingering affection for her as a last resort tactic.

But she was wrong. He had no feelings for her at all!

“Indeed, I have no feelings for her at all,” Warren repeated these words to himself in his heart, but for some reason, these days, her battered image kept haunting his thoughts.

She seemed to be determined not to have any contact with him anymore.

And he finally found her. If he could never see her again…

Thinking of this, Warren felt another painful pang in his heart. He still felt that he hadn’t exacted enough revenge against her. She only spent a few years in prison. It seemed entirely insufficient as retribution.

He reassured himself with this rationale, then picked up his phone and made a call. “It’s me. I need you to arrange for someone to keep an eye on her in Strico. If anything unusual happens, inform me immediately,” he instructed.

In any case, he would not allow her to disappear in his sight again.

He knew she wanted to stay away from him forever, but he wouldn’t let her get what she wished! .

After Rosalie left Amelia’s house, Lucas drove her back to her rented home.

On the way, Lucas asked, “Are Aiden and his family really moving to Gerton?”

“Yes.” Rosalie confirmed.

“I thought I’d come to visit Aiden when I have time,” Lucas said. It seemed like he really liked Aiden.

“They merely move to a different city. It doesn’t mean we can’t meet again,” Rosalie said.

While she was in the middle of speaking, a car suddenly emerged from the opposite side of the road and made a beeline for Lucas’ vehicle. The other driver’s action clearly indicated an intent to force them to stop.

“What’s going on?” Lucas quickly turned the steering wheel, then stepped on the brake and stopped the car by the roadside.

At that moment, Lucas felt his anger rising. He unfastened his seatbelt and told Rosalie, “Let me step out of the car and see what’s happening. It might just be some reckless rich kid who drives crazily on the road!”

Lucas could discern that the car that had compelled them to stop was a limited-edition Bentley, likely worth millions of dollars.

But before, Lucas got out of the car, his hand was suddenly pressed by Rosalie.

Lucas was taken aback. Normally, she would deliberately maintain her distance from him and avoid any physical contact like this.

But now…

Lucas turned to look at Rosalie sitting in the passenger seat, only to find that she was staring at the Bentley in shock.

At that moment, Rosalie recognized that the car was Jonathan’s.

She was stunned, as that meant the person sitting in the car now was Jonathan.

Then, her pupils suddenly contracted. She recognized the person who got out of the driver’s seat as Jarvis, the chauffeur of the Youngblood family!

Jarvis walked to Lucas’ car and respectfully knocked on the front passenger door.

Rosalie opened the door with her stiff hand. Jarvis told Rosalie, Ms. Leighton, Mr. Youngblood invites you to join him in his

car.”

“Mr. Youngblood?” Lucas looked at the scene in front of him strangely and then asked Rosalie, “Do you know the person in that car?”

“How can I not know him?” Rosalie thought. She took a deep breath and said to Lucas, “I’ll go there. You can go back first. Don’t worry about me.”

She said and unfastened her seat belt.

Lucas hesitated and grabbed Rosalie, “How about I come with you? What if…”

“It will be fine.” She smiled at him and gently patted the back of his hand. “I know that man.”

Lucas let go of her reluctantly.

Rosalie got out of the car and followed Jarvis to the black Bentley.

Jarvis opened the back door, and Rosalie got in. On the other side, Lucas could only make out a man in a suit seated in the

back seat, but his face remained obscured from view.

Bang!

The door was closed, and the Bentley sped off.

Lucas was sitting alone in the car, and his mind was full of speculation.

“Who exactly is that man in the back seat? What is his relationship with Rosalie?” he pondered.

Rosalie looked at Jonathan, who was sitting beside her. At that moment, a mischievous smile graced his lips, but his eyes retained a cold, distant look.

“What’s the deal? Do you really have feelings for that Lucas? Do you enjoy being around him that much?” He said it nonchalantly, but to her, it felt like a heavy blow to her heart.

“It’s none of your business,” Rosalie said.

“Really? I know that Lucas is running an automotive workshop. It is quite small, and such an automotive workshop can vanish overnight,” he said.

Her body tensed up suddenly. She couldn’t help but wonder if he was subtly suggesting that he might target Lucas’ automotive workshop. Lucas had started that workshop on his own, and she didn’t want any harm to come to him because of her.

She bit her lips slightly and said slowly, “I don’t like him.”
