The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 591

Chapter 591

“That’s good,” said Lillian as she took out the toys she bought today for Aiden.

“Thank you, Lillian,” said Aiden, looking like he really liked the toys.

At this moment, Lillian’s phone suddenly rang. She picked up the phone, and it was from the hospital security guard. “Hello, are you the owner of car XXX? Your car is now parked in the parking lot of Central Hospital, but the alarm device keeps ringing. Please come over to deal with it.”

“Okay, I’ll be right there!” Lillian then said to Rosalie, “Rosalie, I’m going down for a while. It seems that there is something wrong with the alarm system of my car.”

“Okay,” Rosalie replied. When Lillian left the ward, a nurse came and asked Amelia to go to the doctor’s office. Suddenly, Rosalie was the only one left by the bedside.

After Amelia walked out of the ward, Aiden suddenly drooped his head and stopped playing with the new toys at hand.

“Why don’t you play anymore?” Rosalie asked.

“Rosalie, am I… a bad child?” Aiden said sullenly.

“Why do you think so?” Rosalie was curious.

“I fought and spent a lot of money in hospital. It’s not easy for Mommy to make money,” he said guiltily..

Rosalie touched Aiden’s head. Aiden had always been more mature and sensible than children of his age. However, he was more closed off than other children because he had hearing loss since childhood.

Although sometimes he could be lively like other children, he was quiet and shy most of the time.

When Rosalie came to the hospital yesterday, she roughly knew the reason why Aiden was fighting.

“You fought for your mommy, right?” Rosalie said gently. “Aiden wanted to protect your mommy from others who say bad things about her. This is actually very good. It means that you are an affectionate child, and you have someone that you want to protect!”

Aiden blinked and looked at Rosalie in a daze.

Rosalie continued, “But when we do things, we can’t be impulsive. We need to think it through and consider the consequences. For example, if you fight, you will get injured, you will be hospitalized, and your mommy and granny will feel sad. So next time, can you find a better way to protect the people who are important to you?”

Aiden listened and asked childishly, “What is a better way, then?”

Rosalie did not actually know what was a better way. “Aiden can think about it carefully, and I will also think about it with you too, okay? But you have to remember that no matter what happens, what you should do is protect yourself. Because if you are injured, your family will be very sad!”

Hearing this, Aiden nodded vigorously. “I will protect Mommy! And I will protect Granny, Rosalie, and Lillian!”

“Well, Aiden is indeed a man.” Rosalie smiled softly and praised the child.

After a while, Lillian returned to the ward. Rosalie asked, “Is the car okay?”

“It’s okay, but I will go to a car repair shop later. It happened two or three times already recently. The alarm system always rings for no reason,” Lillian said.

After Amelia returned to the ward, they talked with her for a while before leaving.

After leaving the ward, Lillian sighed. “I didn’t expect a child like Aiden to fight with others.” After all, she had always seen Aiden as shy and quiet. Sometimes, with a bit of teasing, Aiden would easily blush and look shy.

“Even rabbits would bite when they’re cornered. Besides, this time Aiden fought for his mommy. Although he usually looks obedient, he is not a coward when he really fights,” Rosalie said.

She knew that Aiden was a tough and hard-working child, mostly because he had been deaf since he was a child. This made him more endurable and patient than his peers. Besides, after installing hearing aids, he was able to speak in a short time. He even spoke more fluently than many normal children of his age. It was not just his intelligence, but also hard work.

Such a person, if he lost it, he would. go

all out!

Rosalie guessed that the children who fought with Aiden were not really good kids.

“Yeah,” Lillian murmured.

While talking, they arrived at the entrance of the hospital and got into Lillian’s car.

“Then I’ll take you home first,” Lillian said.

“Okay,” Rosalie answered.

“By the way, how are you and Calvin now? Are you really just ordinary friends?” Lillian began to show interest in her best friend’s relationship.

“Nothing, but… I think we’re not just ordinary friends,” said Rosalie. Rosalie could only say what she really felt in her heart in front of Lillian. “I know Calvin is interested in me, but I have never thought about spending the rest of my life with anyone. I have also rejected him, but it seemed useless. Maybe I should refuse him more harshly.”
