The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 998

Chapter 998

“Um… This child’s indeed behaving himself!” Rosalie thought and could not help but smile.

After noticing Zaid making a video call, Jennifer also demanded that she wanted to give Jonathan and Felix a video call.

“Jen, try to be good. It’s a secret between us for coming here. Didn’t I say not to tell Daddy for the time being? How about this? I will call Gary and ask him to find Felix so he can make a video call with you,” Rosalie said.

Rosalie made an agreement with the children that they could not tell Jonathan about their trip. As for the true identity of Kaylie being their actual grandmother, Rosalie planned to wait until the children had turned older before confessing to them.

After all, the grudges held between the adults could not be made clear with just a few words.

Hence, a moment later, Jennifer held Rosalie’s mobile phone and chatted with Felix on the other side of the video excitedly.

Rosalie asked Guillermo, who was beside them, “Do you want to make a video call with someone? Of course, other than Daddy.”

The little guy shook his head as he did not have any people he wanted to make video calls with. In fact, he could not understand why Zaid and Jennifer were so happy to make video calls.

It was as if the person they were making the video call with was very important to them.

However, to Guillermo, only Jonathan, Rosalie, Zaid, and Jennifer were truly important. Other people did not matter at all.

At night, Rosalie looked at the three children, who were already sound asleep, with a tiny smile on her face. Then, she took out her phone and sent Jonathan a text message.

She only sent a short message out: [We’re fine. No need to miss us.]

At the Youngblood residence, Jonathan looked at the message on his phone and gently brushed every word shown on the screen with his long fingers.

“How could I not miss you? Rosalie, come back soon. I miss you,” he murmured.

He missed her very much. He missed the warmth of her body, her breath, and everything.

“Good night,” he slowly spat out the two words and kissed the message from Rosalie across the screen of his phone.

“We’re fine. No need to miss us.”

“We’re fine. No need to miss us.”

However, every word seemed to be deeply engraved in his mind, and his heart was filled with the word “miss.”

In a famous five-star luxurious presidential suite in Strico, a tall and handsome man looked at the photos on the coffee table one by one. All the figures shown in the photos were Felix.

However, not a single one of the photos showed the child looking directly at the camera. It was evident that all these photos were taken secretly.

“Is this the child Yvette gave birth to?” the man asked.

“Yes, but I’m not 100% sure. Yvette is dead, so we can’t perform DNA testing.” Standing in front of the other man was a lean man in his 40s with a messy beard, and he was the famous private detective in Strico, David Field.

“It doesn’t matter. What I want to prove is not about the child’s relationship with Yvette. Find a way to get

the child’s blood or hair samples.” the man said.

“It’s not a big problem,” David said. After all, in his opinion, the child was just a kid fostered by the Youngblood family, so he did not think the task would be difficult.

“One more thing. I don’t want a third party to know about this matter. If I find out in the future that you have disclosed it to others, you should know the consequences for doing that,” the man said coldly.

David was stunned and hurriedly responded, “Sure, of course. I understand your meaning. I won’t let anyone else know!”

Lillian had been living a very contented life these days. She accompanied her parents to visit Sloummont during the daytime, acting like she was a guide for them to prepare a travel guide and arrange their travel

routes.

If she had not been pregnant now, she would have followed her parents to every major tourist attraction in Sloummont.

On the other hand, she had also become a regular guest staying in Callum’s office. Now, no one stopped her anymore, and even her entry into Callum’s office had become unobstructed.

“Ms. Quinn, Mr. White is having a meeting. He said if you had come, you can directly enter his office to wait for him,” said the secretary.

As soon as Lillian entered the office and put down her bag, her phone rang. She picked up the call and realized it was from Jerick.

Speaking of which, she and Jerick had not talked for a long time, but when she came to Sloummont to find Callum, she had chatted with Jerick on the Internet for a while, with the latter even wishing her a make-up with Callum sooner.

“Jerick, is there anything you need from me to make this call right now?” Lillian asked. After all, logically speaking, it should be Jerick’s working hours at this time.

“It’s just… I want to ask how you’ve been lately. Have you made up with Mr. White?” Jerick’s voice sounded a little dry.

“Kind of,” Lillian answered.

“If so… then…” Jerick hesitated to speak as if there was something difficult to express.

“What’s wrong? If you have anything to say, just tell me,” Lillian said. “We haven’t known each other for a long time, but we are still considered friends, right?”

The other end of the phone remained silent for a long time. “Lillian, you’re a good woman. I never want to hurt you, but I… I… Anyway, I’m sorry! Lillian, I’m sorry!”

After saying that, Jerick abruptly ended the call.
