"…"
Oh, crap.
Felicity had completely forgotten about Langston's unique set of skills!
Forget a mere door lock, give the guy a computer and he could crack open a safe!
"You, you…"
She was so shocked she couldn't find the words, just stood there dumbfounded staring at this "uninvited guest."
Especially since it had started to drizzle outside, and here was Miles, his black suit soaked on one side, a bandage wrapped around his forehead, holding a brand-new laptop in his hands, looking a bit worse for wear—
He had left earlier just to buy it.
"Felicity, you said I was too much of a boy scout, that you didn't like it. So, does this move make me more like Calvin?"
"…"
Miles was standing outside, but he wasn't just standing there for nothing.
He might not have been able to decipher the complexities of a woman's heart, but he could grasp the literal meaning of Felicity's words, right?
Since she thought he was too logical, why not do something completely illogical?
Felicity just gazed at him, half-convinced she was seriously ill and hallucinating…
It took her a moment to move her fingertips.
"Why would you want to be like Calvin?"
"Didn't you use him as an example before, thinking I wasn't as good as him in handling things?"
Miles had said he could learn.
Just needed a bit of time.
Felicity was about to say something when suddenly, she faintly heard noises coming from Calvin's room!
Was he coming out?
No time to think, instinctively, she immediately pulled Miles into her room and then pressed her ear against the door to listen for any sounds outside.
Behind her, Miles frowned slightly, his voice deep, "Are you planning to agree to be Calvin's girlfriend?"
"…" She looked up, "What are you talking about?"
"Why are you so afraid of him finding me here?"
And hurriedly hiding me away! As if worried about Calvin seeing us.
Felicity rolled her eyes, "Who are you trying to threaten?"
"No one."
"…"
"If it were Calvin, would he do the same?"
Miles smiled slyly, as if waiting for her to praise him.
"You…" She opened her mouth to say something, but the words seemed to get stuck in her throat.
Uncomfortable.
This side of Miles, it was strange.
"Felicity, I'm a bit cold." He gestured to his soaked clothes and forehead, "Even my bandage is drenched."
"Serves you right!" Though she said that, she still turned to fetch her first-aid kit from her room.
Behind her, Miles seemed to have caught on to something essential.
His eyes sparkled, and he coughed a few times, "Could I… maybe use your bathroom?"
