Duncan thought Aurora's hesitation was just her being polite, so he added, "These places aren't huge, the largest is only about 150 square meters. They're not that expensive!"
If he could get in good with the daughter of the Lopez Corporation, giving her a house, even an entire building, would be a bargain!
Just a slight nod from the Lopez Corporation could propel any company onto the fast track to wealth.
But then Aurora said, "No need for you to give me anything. My fiancé and I have already bought one! We're just here to get the keys."
"You... fiancé? You're getting married?"
"Yeah!" She smiled, turning around to call Craig over to introduce him to Duncan.
But when she turned back, Duncan had already disappeared.
...
After parting ways with Duncan, Aurora called Craig.
He said he'd gone ahead to check out the house.
She hurried into the sales office and scanned the room, spotting Craig towering over a table in the front left corner, listening to a sales consultant talk about decoration tips.
"Craig, that's about it! Here are your keys."
The consultant handed over the keys, giving him an extra glance.
Feeling a bit jealous, Aurora quickly walked up and looped her arm through Craig's, smiling, "Thank you!"
Once they were alone, she playfully tugged at his hand, "Why didn't you wait for me?"
"I saw you chatting with a friend."
"Wouldn't that have been the perfect time to introduce you as my fiancé?"
His lips twitched slightly, but he didn't say anything, leading her by the hand to their new home.
Upon opening the door, Aurora dashed inside, exploring every nook and cranny.
"It's not too small! Craig, I know you'll make something of yourself! I have complete faith in you!"
He was the type not to make promises or paint a rosy picture without having the means to back it up.
But that was okay. Aurora believed in Craig's potential.
"You're sure you won't regret this?"
"No regrets!" she answered quickly, without hesitation.
Finally, a smile appeared on Craig's face, "What about Franceland's chocolates? Not having them anymore?"
"...How do you still remember that!" Aurora pouted, reaching into his pocket to find a piece of sea salt toffee, "I only like these!"
He unwrapped the candy and popped it into her mouth.
"You can have your chocolates, Aurora. Don't compromise so much for me. I can get you Franceland's chocolates too."
