"Sure, what's up? I'm here for you."
Felicity waved off, "It's personal stuff, not really something you can tag along for."
She knew Miles too well. Once she'd said that, he'd back off, no further questions asked.
And true to form, he just nodded, then continued to serve her more food.
Watching Miles carefully slice the steak or break the bread into bite-sized pieces before thoughtfully placing it on her plate, Felicity couldn't help but wonder...
If he ever became a dad, he’d definitely be the gentle, patient type.
What if... what if the pregnancy test was wrong, and she was actually pregnant? To keep or not to keep?
That was the dilemma she had been wrestling with.
But seeing Miles being so considerate and attentive, suddenly... the dilemma didn't seem so daunting.
He adored kids. If he knew about the pregnancy and that she didn't keep it, he’d be heartbroken. So...
Chances were, she’d probably lean towards keeping it.
It was just the shock of possibly being pregnant that had her all over the place.

The venue to introduce Craig to her parents was set at Bay Residence.
This was the outcome of a discussion between Aurora and her mother, deeming it a more formal setting.
Since Craig was always worried about not being fully accepted by the Lopez family, they decided to do everything by the book, to show their goodwill as Aurora’s parents.
"Mom, Dad! We're here!" Aurora called out cheerily as she entered.
"Come on in! Let's talk more comfortably inside," Dorothy said, stepping aside to let them change into their indoor shoes before heading to the kitchen to fetch a bowl of freshly washed fruit.
Aurora, clutching Craig's hand, led him to the living room, "Dad, come meet your future son-in-law. I finally brought him home!"
Hearing her voice, Everett looked up—
Instantly, he could sense Craig's insecurity and restraint.
To Everett, family background and wealth were immaterial, but insecurity was a trait he found concerning.
It could easily lead to misaligned values between him and his daughter.
In the throes of love, everything might seem fine, but over time... whichever side made compromises, issues were bound to arise eventually.
Of course, Everett didn't voice these thoughts just yet, merely offering a curt, "Sit."

Why didn't Jeffrey call Everett from the office? Lock his door instruct security to not let anyone in and speak to Everett on the phone? Or send him a text giving him a quick summary of what's up and that he's on his way over. That way when he runs into Heather on his way out he informs her Everett already knows....
