Dorothy swung open the French doors to let in some fresh air.

Remembering that her daughter was still asleep, she quickly closed them and slipped on her flats to head downstairs to the hotel lobby.

Everglow City was surrounded by mountains, so the night breeze brought with it a scent of trees and grass, that made you feel a refreshing coolness. A gust of wind seemed enough to clear one's mind.

Just as Dorothy was about to step out of the hotel, the receptionist at the front desk called out to her. "Ms. Sanchez! Are you here to pick up a package?"

Package?

Dorothy paused. "What package?"

"A gentleman left it here for your daughter." The receptionist quickly retrieved a bag of candy.

If it hadn't been mentioned, Dorothy would have forgotten.

She glanced into the bag to see an assortment of candies.

With a resigned smile, Dorothy sighed deeply.

This must be the result of her daughter begging for candy again, and some kind soul indulged her. This was not the first time such an incident had occurred. Abigail had charmed many people with her cute looks before, coaxing them into buying her candy. Over time, Abigail had learned the art of acting cute to get candy.

It seemed being cute could have a detrimental effect on her teeth.

Dorothy smiled at the receptionist. "Please thank him for me. If I bump into him, I'll have my daughter thank him in person."

"He's checking out tomorrow." The receptionist's face fell as she mentioned this. "I just found out that he canceled his extended stay."

"Then please give him this."
