"Uh-huh, I got it. Could you maybe check in with Everett for me? I'm curious about what brought him to Havenbrook City. Was it really Dorothy?"
"Isn't it obvious?"
The Lopez Corporation didn't have any projects in Havenbrook City currently. Even if they did, domestic projects that weren't worth a few billion dollars weren't worth the CEO's time.
So, what else could it be?
"But they're divorced. Didn't Everett remarry?" News of him getting married was all over the business world.
Lane thought he had moved on.
After all, divorce usually meant there were issues between them. Now that Dorothy was flaunting her married life with a child and Everett had announced his remarriage, Lane couldn't imagine there being any connections left between them.
He was surprised to find out that Everett came to Havenbrook City for Dorothy.
Most importantly, Everett knew about Dorothy being drugged. This meant that he was either still in contact with Dorothy or that he had someone close to her.
If it was the latter, then it was only a matter of time before Everett found out about Dorothy's daughter.
Lane didn't even want to think about it.
Now that Dorothy claimed to be married and Everett was still protecting her, if he found out that the child was his, what chance would Lane have left?
"But he just made an announcement. None of us have seen the bride." Jeffrey said cautiously. He avoided talking too much about Everett's personal matters for fear of repercussions.

The readers' comments on the novel: The CEO's Hidden Love: Midnight Temptations and Deep Desires
Sometimes Karen can be such a drama queen and immature....
For some reason I am now feeling suspicious about Kevin's new girlfriend....
I really hope this Perdita person is not a new villain....
I too echoed the sentiments of pppplllleeeaaaassssseeeeee bring this drama to an end. I beg of you!...
Really please finish this book and upload the full story so it can end. It's been drugout for so long!...
The intimate scenes in this story or uncomfortable to read. They either come off as being forced, painful, or simply not enjoyable....
Okay I left a long while ago and came back. Looks like it's been updated but still not done lol. I'll maybe wait 6 months before coming back and it'll probably still be going on. It's like a soap opera instead of a novel...
Kenneth is confirming something I've been thinking about him for several hundred chapters ago and that is he is a future murder suicide perpetrator. And after reading chapter 1275 yeah it's just brought the thought back....
How could Jeffrey throw the knife down at the scene of the crime with both their fingerprints on there?...
Again no update, so is this where it ends? Or post the whole book. Your dragging this out...
