"I'm fine, really." Dorothy knew Everett must be worried sick about her, so she walked over to Dr. Quincy's side and whispered, "If he asks about me, just tell him I'm doing great! I don't want him to worry."
Dr. Quincy's lips curled into a smile, revealing two charming dimples that made her look like a college student rather than a seasoned physician.
"You two are really a pair. He told me the exact same thing."
Dorothy paused, a flicker of concern crossing her face. "Is he okay, though? He's not hiding anything serious from me, is he?"
Dr. Quincy patted her shoulder gently. "Don't worry! He's fine. I wouldn't tarnish my reputation by letting something happen to one of my patients. But you need to take your leg seriously. Mr. Lopez is right; you need to take care of yourself."
"It's just a fracture. I had surgery and everything."
"But looking at your wounds, it seems like there might be an inflammation. Did you leave the ward and come here right after your surgery?" Dr. Quincy always had an eye to detect these tricks.
Dorothy showed an embarrassed, sheepish grin. "I was worried about him..."
"I understand. But Mr. Lopez is out of danger now, so it's time to focus on your own recovery." Dr. Quincy moved behind her wheelchair and began to push it forward. "Let's head over to the consulting room. I'll take a look at you."
Dorothy knew it would be foolish to argue now.
"Thank you, Dr. Quincy."

The readers' comments on the novel: The CEO's Hidden Love: Midnight Temptations and Deep Desires
Sometimes Karen can be such a drama queen and immature....
For some reason I am now feeling suspicious about Kevin's new girlfriend....
I really hope this Perdita person is not a new villain....
I too echoed the sentiments of pppplllleeeaaaassssseeeeee bring this drama to an end. I beg of you!...
Really please finish this book and upload the full story so it can end. It's been drugout for so long!...
The intimate scenes in this story or uncomfortable to read. They either come off as being forced, painful, or simply not enjoyable....
Okay I left a long while ago and came back. Looks like it's been updated but still not done lol. I'll maybe wait 6 months before coming back and it'll probably still be going on. It's like a soap opera instead of a novel...
Kenneth is confirming something I've been thinking about him for several hundred chapters ago and that is he is a future murder suicide perpetrator. And after reading chapter 1275 yeah it's just brought the thought back....
How could Jeffrey throw the knife down at the scene of the crime with both their fingerprints on there?...
Again no update, so is this where it ends? Or post the whole book. Your dragging this out...
