"Not enough, nowhere near enough. You complimented my six-pack, saying I was good and raving about my strong back and stamina!"
All those words, she'd never utter when sober, were out in the open that day!
Dorothy couldn’t bear to hear anymore of what happened next.
"Umm... Everett, I'm tired. Can someone take me to my room, please?"
Everett's expression darkened. "Weren't you going to stay with me?"
"No, no, I’d better head off. I'll come back tomorrow!"
She needed time to process this whole revelation!
"No way!" Now it was Everett's turn to panic, "You can't just leave like that."
"Is there something else?"
Of course, there was!
He had a very serious issue to address!
Their eyes met, and then he directed her gaze down toward his lower half—the part of him that was still defiantly making its presence known.
"Dorothy, you can't be this cruel."
Cruel?
She was about ready to flee the country!
"Goodnight!"
Dorothy was about to leave, but she heard Everett’s sharp inhale behind her.
"Ah... yikes!"
She rushed back, looking him over anxiously. "What's wrong? Did you pull your injury? Does it hurt a lot?"
Looking up, she met his eyes, twinkling with mischief.
"You! You're such a rogue!"
Everett's strong hands firmly caught her wrist, and his handsome face filled with sincerity. "Dorothy, I'm in pain."
"Where does it hurt?"
"There. It's aching because it's pent up."
Dorothy tried to break free but worried about hurting him. She hesitated, caught in a dilemma. "Can you stop messing around? Even if I stay, there's nothing I can do, right?"

The readers' comments on the novel: The CEO's Hidden Love: Midnight Temptations and Deep Desires
Sometimes Karen can be such a drama queen and immature....
For some reason I am now feeling suspicious about Kevin's new girlfriend....
I really hope this Perdita person is not a new villain....
I too echoed the sentiments of pppplllleeeaaaassssseeeeee bring this drama to an end. I beg of you!...
Really please finish this book and upload the full story so it can end. It's been drugout for so long!...
The intimate scenes in this story or uncomfortable to read. They either come off as being forced, painful, or simply not enjoyable....
Okay I left a long while ago and came back. Looks like it's been updated but still not done lol. I'll maybe wait 6 months before coming back and it'll probably still be going on. It's like a soap opera instead of a novel...
Kenneth is confirming something I've been thinking about him for several hundred chapters ago and that is he is a future murder suicide perpetrator. And after reading chapter 1275 yeah it's just brought the thought back....
How could Jeffrey throw the knife down at the scene of the crime with both their fingerprints on there?...
Again no update, so is this where it ends? Or post the whole book. Your dragging this out...
