After Dorothy got back to Karen's house, she didn't even have a moment to take a sip of water before she started sorting out the materials for the upcoming meeting.

She'd just received the task from Genesis Creations Inc. that day, and it was a big deal from the headquarters, so her understanding of the project was still at the beginner stage. She knew she'd have to pay extra attention during the meeting.

Once she'd prepared everything she could think of, Dorothy sat on her chair, turned on her computer, and opened the interface for the company meeting.

As she stared at the words on the screen, Dorothy suddenly felt a surge of nervousness!

Would she be able to see how badly he was hurt? Would his face be disfigured?

She glanced at the lower right corner of her computer screen. There was still nearly an hour before the meeting started! Under normal circumstances, she would have gone and found something to eat since she wasn't sure how long the meeting would have lasted.

But Dorothy didn't want to leave her computer screen.

She just wanted to watch the time and wait for the meeting to start.

The last time she remembered time passing so slowly was at the dinner Mr. Percy had taken her to meet Everett. Every second felt like sitting on pins and needles.

So, Dorothy just watched the clock, ticking away minute by minute.

As it got closer, her growing nervousness continued to unsettle her.

Finally, with ten minutes left to eight, she saw Channel One open up, and a notification popped up on the software telling relevant personnel they could enter.

On impulse, Dorothy was about to click it but hesitated and waited a few more minutes.

What if it was just her and Everett in the meeting room? Wouldn't that have been awkward?
