Hayden Downey was startled, “The ST Group?”
“Yes.” Dante Burke turned around and wrote on the small blackboard where he did the design introduction, “As the scandal of the ST Group’s clothing company was dredged up in the early years, their reputation was destroyed and the clothing company was liquidated in bankruptcy. Then, they wanted to involve in the clothing industry again, but due to the impact of the previous damage, they could only name the company with a name unrelated to the ST Group.”
Thinking of it, it was just a way to clear up the relationship and confuse the public.
Generally, people wouldn’t look into the source origin of the company when buying stuff. The ST Group had grasped this point so that its new company could stand up again in the clothing industry.
Even Hayden didn’t think of this. If it wasn’t for Dante’s reminder, she would have thought that Yi-Pai Clothing was just a bush league company.
“Even if the ST Group is behind it, we still have to sue them. At least we show them that we are not to be messed with.”
Hayden frowned.
Even if it was related to Joseph Beckham, so what? She felt ridiculous that the ST Group would have privately set up such a cheap company to profit.
Dante raised his brows noncommittally, “Whatever. We won’t produce the last batch of clothes again anyway. They can only copy what we have here out-dated.”
Dante didn’t care about the matter of plagiarism. It was customary for a person like him not to quarrel with others over some trivial issues.
But Hayden would never tolerate any wrongdoings. So she immediately instructed her assistant to have the commercial lawyer issue lawyer’s letter to the few companies who involved in the plagiarism, as well as Yi-Pai Clothing.
On Friday night, Hayden had a flight to Shanghai to attend a business banquet.
She had a clear sense of purpose for attending it. Among those who came to the banquet, there was the general manager, East China of Joann Group. Joann Group wanted to customize a batch of staff uniforms, and he was the one in charge of it. If she could win the bid, then it would be a hundred million order, and this would be very helpful for Green Lemon Clothing to expand the market in the early stage.
At the banquet, there were many elites of the apparel industry from Shanghai and Nanking.
Hayden was introduced by the editor-in-chief of the magazine Shanghai Lady ‘VV’, Edwina Perez, to join this party. It was Edison Godfery who introduced Edwina to Hayden before Hayden left Nanking.
Edwina was straightforward, “Mr. Godfery had treated me well before. I knew he was married, just that I didn’t expect his wife to be so young.”
Hayden just smiled, not to explain much about her relationship with Edison.
It was not necessary to talk too much about her relationship with Edison to those unrelated ones. And it was indeed hard to explain too.
Edwina took Hayden around to meet a lot of people in the banquet, and she led Hayden to the general manager of Joann Group, Bowen Wright, “Mr. Wright, this is Ms. Downey from Green Lemon Clothing that I mentioned to you on the call.”
Hayden stretched out her hand, “Hello, Mr. Wright, I’m Hayden Downey.”
“Hi.” Bowen shook her hand politely with a natural look.
Edwina must have interacted with Bowen beforehand. Otherwise, he might be asking what was this Green Lemon Clothing at this moment.
“Mr. Wright, it’s a bit noisy here. How about going over there to talk?”
Hayden took the initiative to talk with Mr. Wright. After all, they were businessmen. Nobody was here to relax, but just to socialize only. So it was better to go straight to the point.
