Avery wrapped his arms around her shoulders, a hint of mischief flashing in his eyes. “Sis, it’s fine to enjoy the show, but don’t get yourself involved. I wouldn’t want to hear about your drama one day.” 

Aurelia swallowed hard. 

If her drama was to break out, it would be earth–shattering, enough to put her life in jeopardy. 

“Nonsense! I mind my own business and follow the rules. What drama could I possibly have?” 

Avery adopted a playful expression. “Well, if I could hear about you becoming the boss‘ sister–in–law, that’d be quite entertaining.” 

Aurelia feigned annoyance at him and shoved a slice of orange into his mouth, effectively silencing him. 

Lunchtime came, and everyone headed to the restaurant together. 

The big boss arrived, followed by the executives, and Evelyn. 

Mr. Louis suggested a private dining room, but the big boss decided to eat with the employees, boosting his approachability instantly. 

In reality, it was to keep an easier eye on a certain woman. 

As a mid–level employee, Evelyn couldn’t sit with the executives and had to return to the Design Department’s side. 

Elowen reappeared in everyone’s sight. 

Aurelia thought she had left, but she was still here! 

Actually, Elowen had planned to leave, but she couldn’t bear it and stayed in her car, waiting for Leopold to come out of the coffee shop. 

Her eyes scanned the room, landed on Aurelia, and she walked over to sit beside her. 

Aurelia quickly greeted her warmly, picked up a bottle, and poured her a drink. 

“We have real–life paintball, fishing, boating this afternoon… why don’t you join us?” 

Considering she didn’t seem to have any intention of leaving and seemed prepared to follow her around, Aurelia decided to take the initiative and be the good guy. 

Elowen agreed with a nod. 

Avery noticed the delicate relationship between his sister and the boss‘ women. 

Leopold sat where he could directly see Aurelia, a trace of gloom flashing in his eyes. 

The moment Aurelia looked up, her gaze met his. Even with the distance between them, she could feel a wave of coldness sweep over her. She quickly bowed her head again. 

The boss‘ gaze was lethal; she couldn’t handle it! 

The waiter began to serve the food.

Avery finally understood why she had put on weight. 

“Sis, let’s play paintball this afternoon. You need to exercise more and lose that belly.” 

Aurelia choked on her food. Was this kid obsessed with her “little belly“? 

“Are you saying I’m eating too much?” 

Avery got her a glass of yogurt. “Arno’s always surrounded by supermodels, you need to take care of your figure so you don’t lose out to them.” 

He really hoped Arnold would become his real brother–in–law. 

Aurelia felt like a mess. “Those supermodels live on salads. I’m a carnivore, I can’t live without meat. If I had to eat grass like them, I’d starve.” 

Elowen sipped her juice and said calmly, “Your sister isn’t fat. She has a small belly because she has uterine fibroids.” 

Her voice wasn’t loud, but many people around them heard.
