“You’re aware of her affair with Fredric, aren’t you?” 

That explained why she was suddenly so interested in Fredric and Sheryl’s marital life last week. 

Aurelia quickly replied, “I think there’s been a misunderstanding. My cousin and your older brother are just boss and employee, just like us.” 

Leopold extended his arm, wrapping it around her waist. His icy eyes twinkled ominously under the light, “Are you certain that’s all we are to each other? Just boss and employee?”

Aurelia playfully grimaced, “Despite getting married and having two children, we’ve always been respectful and never crossed any lines!”

It’s best not to make a big fuss about this. It won’t do her any good. If word got out that she forced her best friend to commit suicide 

because of her pregnancy, I doubt if many people would support her.” 

Leopold looked at her with narrowed eyes, reached over, and ruffled her hair. This woman was definitely smarter than the average person. “You’d best not get involved in Jelena’s matters.” 

She pouted, “I’m her relative. How could I just stand by and do nothing? If she’s sinking, I’ll definitely lend a hand.”
