Chapter 258
The time for the party game had arrived.
This round was a two–player duel. The losers would face a punishment.
Unfortunately, Aurelia drew Evelyn as her opponent, while Sheryl got Jelena.
Leopold was the only one not participating because if he did, there would be no suspense about the champion.
Aurelia smirked, “Is he also so dominant in games?”
How lonely it must be to be invincible, to have no rivals.
Fredric and Mr. Sawyer were the first to step up. Fredric owned an e–sports company and naturally held a high rank in gaming.
He effortlessly knocked out Sawyer.
His punishment for Sawyer was drinking a glass of kale juice.
Sheryl was also a pro. She had started playing e–sports to catch Fredric’s attention. She often secretly invited Fredric to join her team, successfully stealing him away from her unsuspecting best friend. Jelena, on the other hand, was a novice. As a dancer, she spent most of her time immersed in music and dance, with little gaming experience.
“Aurelia, I’m not good at this. What do I do?”
“Why don’t I swap with you? You can go up against Evelyn, she doesn’t seem to be much of a gamer either.”
Aurelia’s voice was soft, but Sheryl heard it, “No swapping, and even in games we have to follow the rules.”
Aurelia had a bad feeling as if Sheryl was up to no good.
Fredric laughed, “We’re all just here to have fun. Don’t worry if you lose.”
Jelena stepped up. She was easily defeated, only lasting a minute before she was knocked out.
A wicked gleam flashed in Sheryl’s eyes. She ordered a waiter to bring a bucket of ice water.
“Pour this bucket of water over your head.”
It was winter, and a bucket of ice water would surely lead to a cold.
The party hall went silent.
Jelena knew that Sheryl was intentionally trying to humiliate her.
Fredric frowned and said, “That’s enough, Sheryl. Don’t overdo it.”
Sheryl scoffed, her voice dripping with disdain, “It’s just a bucket of ice water. And I’ve been drenched on shows before. She is not a delicate flower, so why can’t she do that?”
Aurelia couldn’t believe what she was hearing, “Mrs. Stirling, we’re here to relax. If she gets drenched, how is she supposed to continue having fun?”
Sheryl shot her a look and said, “Don’t worry, and there’s a dryer upstairs. She’ll be dry in no time.”
Fredric was genuinely annoyed. If he had known Sheryl was such a troublemaker, he never would have married her. “She has a live stream tomorrow. If she catches a cold, it’s the company that loses. I’ll take the punishment for her.” But before he could grab the bucket, Jelena stopped him, “No need. I lost fair and square. If you take my punishment, Mrs. Stirling might think something is going on between us.”
