Chapter 295
Leopold strolled over to the window, throwing it open, allowing a gust of cold wind to rush in and scatter his
hair.
“All you need to do is look after Kane, everything else is none of your business.”
His tone was icy, so cold it felt like her blood would freeze over.
“That’s my child, my own flesh and blood. I carried him for nine months. I can’t just leave him bel He’s been taken away, locked up in a dingy room all alone. He’s still so small. What if he gets sick? What if they hurt him?”
Tears welled up in her eyes, blurring her vision. His gaze swept over her face, quickly shifting to the window as if afraid her tears would make him more painful.
“According to the agreement, once the children were born, they had nothing to do with you.”
It was as if she had been struck by a sledgehammer. Her vision went black for a moment,
“Do you think it’s time we got a divorce? Your engagement party is the day after tomorrow. Would you like me to personally deliver the divorce papers as a gift?”
Leopold felt a sharp sting in his heart, as if he had been stabbed. He gritted his teeth, struggling to maintain his icy demeanor,
“That won’t be necessary. If you’re after a divorce, I’ll grant it to you right now!”
He pulled out his phone, dialed Kevin’s number, “Have the lawyers draft the divorce papers and bring them over immediately.”
Each word was a dagger plunging into Aurelia’s chest.
She had always known this day would come, but she hadn’t expected it to be at this moment when their child needed him the most!
This was the first time she truly saw how cold and heartless this man could be!
Her brows furrowed, she sucked in a breath, clutching her chest as a wave of pain washed over her.
The room fell into a deathly silence.
Leopold remained by the window, motionless. The moonlight cast his shadow onto the floor. The shadow too was motionless, as if etched into the wood.
After what seemed like an eternity….
The sound of a knock at the door cut through the dense silence.
Kevin had arrived with the divorce papers.

Without a moment’s hesitation, he took the papers and tossed them onto her, “Sign it!”
The papers were light, yet they felt like a ton of bricks when they hit her, causing a sting on her skin.
She didn’t want to cry. She wanted to stand tall and maintain her dignity, but the tears just wouldn’t stop flowing.
She bit her lip hard, so hard she drew blood. The blood mixed with her tears, staining the divorce papers. The deep red was extremely obvious on paper.
Leopold turned away, his expression as cold as ever, with no hint of emotion. Yet, his eyes burned.

“Sign it!” He repeated, his voice hoarse with suppressed emotion.
She shivered, as if his voice had struck her.
Slowly, she picked up the pen, her grip tight.
“I have one condition. If you agree, I’ll sign.”
“What condition?”
