Chapter 376
Aurelia took a leisurely stroll on the beach with Leopold before heading to the rocky shore, joining the kids in their crab hunting.
She climbed atop a rock, her gaze occasionally sweeping over the sandy beach.
It was broad daylight, the sun high in the sky. It was impossible for ghosts to appear. If she did see that woman again, it meant she wasn’t a ghost, but a living person.
Leopold reclined on a beach chair, his eyes drifted to Aurelia’s sketchpad. Out of curiosity, he took a peek.
Upon seeing the woman in the painting, a spark of shock flickered in his eyes, silent and fleeting.
Aurelia caught this and panicked. Quickly, she turned her head away, pretending not to see anything, playing dumb.
Leopold, holding the sketchpad, approached her. He leaped onto the rock and spread the sketchpad before her, “Who did you draw?”
Aurelia smirked. As expected, Leopold had a soft spot for his old flame. The sight of the sketch was enough to rouse his curiosity.
“What’s the matter? You recognize this woman?” she asked, intentionally turning the question around.
Leopold towered over her, his gaze piercing. He knelt down, “Why did you suddenly draw
her?”
Aurelia let out a mysterious smile, lowering her voice, “What if I told you that this is the ghost I saw last night? Would you think I’m crazy?”
He was slightly taken aback, “You saw her?”
“Mhmm.” She nodded, “Three times. The first was during dinner. She was standing on a distant rock. I blinked, and she was gone. The second time was during the fireworks. She was in the crowd, and when the fireworks went off, she disappeared. The third time was in the middle of the night when I was drinking water by the window, and I saw her under the palm trees. She vanished in a flash. If she’s not a ghost, then what is she?”
Leopold instantly recalled her unusual behavior the previous night. So it was because she saw a “ghost“! He frowned, his expression gradually darkening. He didn’t believe in ghosts. The world didn’t have ghosts. It was just people playing tricks.
“Be careful these days. If you see her again, let me know immediately.”
Aurelia gave him a mysterious look, “You’ve never seen her?”
A glint of cold light flashed in Leopold’s dark eyes, “Even the devil wouldn’t dare to appear

Leopold lightly flicked her forehead, “You really think you saw a ghost?”
Aurelia chuckled awkwardly, “I’ve always believed in the existence of ghosts”
