Chapter 510
Aurelia took William to the set of Blue Lightning Strikes, and as soon as Nellie saw them, she ran over with an excited smile.
"William!" She was a quick-witted little girl, far more mature than the average child her age, which was why the director had chosen her to be Avery's young co-star.
“Guess what, Nellie? There's a really pretty girl on set today. She's as pretty as an angel.” William's long, mischievous lashes fluttered like a butterfly's wings.
"Where?" Nellie asked, looking around curiously.
“Look to your left,’ William instructed.
Nellie turned her head, "Where? I don't see her.
“A little more to the left,’ William said, a mysterious smile on his face.
Nellie shifted her gaze further to the left, and all she saw was a mirror reflecting her pretty face.
She paused for a moment, her lips slowly curving into a brilliant smile that lit up her little face. Then, she threw her arms around William's neck and planted a kiss on his cheek.
Aurelia was helpless.
William was a natural charmer. This was definitely not something he had inherited from Leopold, who was a cold fish. Nor was it something he'd learned from Arnold. So William was simply born with it.
Could it be a case of skipping a generation?
Mr. Chad was the ultimate heartbreaker. Tall, handsome, and charming, he had once been the object of countless young girls’ affections and had broken many hearts.
The mother of his second son had fallen into a deep depression after he'd left her for Magnolia. And it was just the tip of the iceberg. Rumor had it that the number of women who had either ended their lives or gone insane after being discarded by him was in the triple digits.
Nevertheless, Aurelia was certain that William would never become a scoundrel like Mr. Chad. After all, his moral compass was intact. He didn't forget his old friends when he made new ones. Every week, he video-chatted with his buddies from Goldstone.
Avery arrived, his makeup freshly done.
